Yeah, in the refrigerated sandwich meats section - with the Pepperami and all that lot! I think Tesco also has them but if I recall correctly, Asda carry a different brand which I didn't like (but also in the refrigerated section).
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

People, can we refocus on Lidl?  How about these?  Apparently Ladies only have feet size 4-7, because size 7 and up are labelled Men's and are far less jazzy.

Our Lidl looks soooo shady from the outside and not very big...do you think it's worth venturing in?  Have there been a rehaul of most of them in the recent past and the Brixton Lidl was forgotten or something?  ;D

Brixton Lidl is just a bit worn-looking, but fine inside!  We were just there a couple days ago...always crowded & full of crying children, but if you get around all that for some good bargains, then it's always worth an adventure!

I agree, any Lidl is worth a visit.  And given that the non-food specials change twice a week, it's worth a regular visit.

DH is a huge fan of hotdogs but the only one's he's had have been from a can (Royal Oak i think?) he smothers them in mustard and ketchup so i have no idea how he can even taste them...i'll be on the look out for Herta for him.  Where do you get yours?

if the poor boy has been eating tinned hot dogs, and you come home with Herta Jumbo... he is going to be over the moon!!!

For the most part, I agree....except there's something about all-beef Ball Park franks on a charcoal grill!   ;D

BBQ'd, perhaps, provided there was lots of beer to wash it down.

I'm convinced that if you put a leather boot on a charcoal grill, it would taste good!  ;)

And slaw, for a topper.  Slawdogs > regular hotdogs.

Well, it's made of cow, isn't it?  ;D

How can you eat a chili dog, or corn dog without hot dogs? We get ours from the Asian shops, and they are NOT in a can, rather, plastic wrapped like I'm used to. I've not been to a Lidl in ages, but I remember getting some wonderful face cream there, smelled yummy! Have to go back just for that. Unfortunately, there are no Lidl stores within walking distance, and getting hubs to stop at one would be a chore in itself!

CarolW -- i know this is off-topic for the Lidl thread, but if you are looking for PROPER hot dogs, this is what you should be looking out for - go for the jumbo ones if you find them:

Great.  A masked gunman was seen in the car park of my local Lidl this weekend!  Although it *was* 4:30 am.
