There is a little (indie-ish) British film showing showing in our city called "Is Anybody There?" with the great Michael Caine.

We are planning to go and see it this weekend.....just curious if anyone has seen it....would love feedback! :)

I can't wait for Star Trek.  We saw Wolverine last night.  Not too bad, but Gambit was always one of my favorites.
Ditto on Wolverine and Gambit. I do wish Gambit had a bigger role (only because he's in my top 3 X-Men characters with Nightcrawler and Angel/Archangel).
I have still been wary about Trek even though I will go see it, just as I watched Star Trek: Generations...  I like the geeky/sci-fi stuff of Trek and have been very much against LOST (it took me a while to like Fringe) because of J.J. Abrams. I still refuse to watch the recent Transformers film because of that (stubborn) ideology.

We went to see it today and while Michael Caine was great....it was a very depressing film. I knew it was about him accepting life in a elderly care home but wow it really threw me for a loop. The film really made you think about growing older, reflecting back on one's life and death.  I was a bit of a mess (behind my sunglasses) when we left the cinema. I am a sappy crier type anyway but I wasn't expecting that!

Sometimes we take an elderly neighbor with us to the cinema and when we left I said to my DH, thank goodness we didn't ask her along, I would have felt terrible if we had.

I saw an interview with Michael Caine where they showed a particular scene (I think about the character's wife) and Michael Caine was crying as it was shown. He said he did the film because it made him laugh and cry.

Has anyone seen In The Loop yet?

Looks interesting but I'm not sure whether it would be for me.... would be interested to hear from anyone on this forum who has seen it.

I haven't seen it yet, but I used to watch the tv show it is based on.  It's brilliant, very fast paced political satire.  My mum has seen the film and loved it...apparrantly there were about 6 MP's in the cinema at the same time!

I really really want to see http://www.outragethemovie.com/

Any guesses if it'll play in the UK?
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

We saw a great indie film this weekend called Lymelife.

If you like small films, this is a good one!  :)

I thought Gambit was a great character as well, but let's remember the name of the film ;).  Rumor has it he'll get his own dedicated film in the future, along with Wade/Ryan Reynolds, and I'm not sure who else.
I was only sorry to see Dominic Monaghan's character for such a short time :(

They have already greenlighted a Deadpool project supposedly.
