Daily Mail story, not 25,000 people who heard the broadcast. I don't know. I don't think it's a big deal. Some people will think it's funny, others will think it's silly, and others will be disgusted. Isn't that the same as with publicly-funded art? Publicly-funded architecture? Doctor Who and
Top Gear, but those are the breaks.
They've both apologised and Andrew Sachs has accepted their apologies, so I think we should just all move on.
