My latest theory - Man in Black somehow found a loophole - ability to finally kill Jacob via morphing into Locke because Locke's body was transported to the Island.  Anything deeper than that, I dunno.  Yet!

I'm almost more interested in the historical details of the island now than what happens to everyone.

(except for Des and Penny  )

I'm jumping on board for the last season. Not sure how well that will work because I really have noooo clue what's going on, but we'll see how it pans out tomorrow.

I've watched it from the very beginning and I can't even imagine how confusing it would be trying to watch it now without having seen everything leading up to what's going on now. Getting the box set and watching it all from the beginning is a good idea.

Go to hulu.com - they have all the episodes - and Entertainment Weekly has a list of the ten episodes to (re) watch to get caught up.  Not sure if you should watch every.single.episode - but maybe start with the ten recommended, then check out the various links to hopefully fill in the answers.

I've seen these guys a couple of times in London, always brilliant!

I couldn't wait, I streamed it in and watched it last night :-)

Thanks, goods! I watched it last night, too, and I really wished I'd refreshed my memory with a synopsis of the last episode beforehand!

I believe they'll do the same in the UK as here - run the 'catch-up' episode before the premiere.  It was very helpful!
(Though I also read elsewhere that Des will be back more, now that Henry Ian Cusick has settled a sexual harassment suit by a staff member   I was wondering why he hadn't been around much; I'm sorry that's the reason.

I'm pretty sure they are running a catch-up the hour before.  I've got something (I can't look at the moment) scheduled to tape.

That is stinky!!!  I'm glad he will be back.
