you could go with yogurt and some dried fruit and maybe a little granola.

A slice of coconut flan (zomg, so good)
A slice of quiche
A white bread chicken roll with black-pepper mayonnaise.

Somebody stop me! :(

Oh I do like yogurt with some granola in it but never for breakfast for som reason...I like it as a snack at night before bed if I get the munchies

I know but when I did South Beach I could eat taco meat for breakfast every day! lol
Breakfast tacos - If I did these each day I would eat breakfast..whole wheat tortilla, taco meat or bacon with beans and cheese yummmm

Ok just wandering I know what you mean about eggs I'm not a egg lover myself!!  ;)   [smiley=bleck.gif]
Guess I could never do lo-carb as I an vegetarian and don't eat eggs...

I am eating a bowl of oatmeal right now, Jenn--you put me in the mood for it!

I normally do lots of fresh fruit for breakfast--it doesn't always fill me up for that long, so I'll have a granola bar or something similar for when I get hungry in a couple of hours.

Jenn, if you are watching calories now instead of doing strict low-carb, you may want to try the Quorn mince and make taco "meat" out of that.  Its much lower in fat and honestly tastes really good!!

Humm I may try that...I did buy some ASDA bean "burgers" and man they are real good!
I am not really "on" anything just being more conscious but thanks for bringing this to the forefront of my mind  ;)

I think you could do something like South Beach diet if you are vegetarian and don't eat eggs, you just might have to change up your breakfast. You can still eat beans and everything on that, and berries aren't too high in carbs... so if you eat yoghurt (Greek yoghurt has the highest protein, I think, like the Fage stuff), you could have that with some berries (though I always need honey or banana or something sweeter with mine!) Or you could just have leftovers for breakfast. I think you'd have to be creative, but you definitely could do it, if you wanted to (not that you should, or that you want to!)  :P

Sorry you had some bad news, Shugga. ((HUGS)) Hope you feel better soon.

I had a great two days, and today was AWFUL. I feel like crap and have used that as an excuse to eat loads of crap this afternoon and this evening. Now my stomach hurts. I will have to try harder tomorrow.  :-\\\\

I love leftovers for breakfast!  I may look into South Beach.  I definitely could lose a good 10 lbs.  I know I could do it if I simply ate less at night and nothing after dinner, and if I did lots of brisk walking.  We'll see.....not making any promises to myself that I won't keep.

I dragged myself to the gym after waiting tables for five hours.  I was proud of myself for going- we were crazy tonight and I power walked the restaurant all evening.  At least I have an active job!

I am 4 for 4 this week with the gym so far, and kept the food intake to reasonable amounts, so feeling pretty good about that.

I was getting headaches when we would start the warm-ups for some of the cardio classes, and it freaked me out, but then I figured out that I was dehydrated.

I had a really bad day yesterday with a stroppy whingy 2 year old...and so I did a bit of comfort eating...surprising thing was when I entered it all into FoodFocus I found that I was about 100 calories under my limit for the day...looks like I pigged out on the healthy stuff which is kinda depressing in a weird way.

I'm down 5lbs so far this week so there's been a bit of a slow down, but it looks like I'm still on the right track. We'll see what the Sunday weigh in comes in at.

WebyJ, congrats on losing 5 pounds. I wish I pigged out on healthy foods. ;)
I tend to go for a big handful of chocolate candies which is never helpful in any way and certainly doesn't put me under for my caloric goals!

After reading some posts on this thread, I decided to try Jillian's 30 Day Shred. I'm supposed to do day 3 today, but I'm just way too sore -- and I didn't consider myself terribly out-of-shape to begin with.  What a great workout! Are you supposed to do it every day? I feel like it might cause me injury if I try to do it today, so obviously I'm just going to do some walking or light jogging instead.

Also, I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet or not, but I highly recommend trying "green monster" smoothies to get in extra greens.  It sounds gross, but it's not. My recipe is something like this:
Big handful of washed, baby spinach
1 frozen banana
1 scoop of protein powder (I prefer Jay Robb's rice protein)
some organic greek yogurt
a bit of water
blend away in blender.
It comes out delicious and you don't even taste the spinach (not that spinach tastes bad).
Anyway, good luck to everyone in their fitness and health goals.  I'm trying really hard to lose 5 pounds in 4 weeks (when i meet more in-laws :-)).
