Jewlz, there's a lot to be said for being content in working a job.  I know it may not be as professionally oriented as what you are looking for, and what others have advised you is best.  I've had great professional jobs before in which I was miserable though, so fingers crossed - however things turn out, only good things come your way & you're happy doing whatever it ends up to be.  :)

IA:  Drove over to Sainsburys on the way to MLG's house so that I could pick up a pack of their Sicilian style sausages (for what I'm making tonight) & was running late getting to MLG's as a result.  And Sainsburys didn't end up having a single Sicilian style sauce in the store.  >:(

UP:  I still got to MLG's and had a lovely coffee talk with her, and she pulled out some cupcakes in the end as well!  :D
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering

IA: anxious about going to the hospital for tests this week (today and Friday)

UP: hoping I may start to get some answers or a better treatment plan for the kidneys and so far I feel well enough to go into work this week, but nervous as my meds will end and I don't know what the plan is next

UP: I still have 15 days of annual leave to take before Dec 31, that's the grand total of time I got in the US for the entire year to take

IA: I can't afford a holiday or anything and I'm just starting a new role in the company, so its hard to say "oooh, I'm buggering off on holiday now, even though I just started this role"

UP: Oh well, Hmmm- I have to take it too, its an HR requirement to use my holidays up.   Now what to do with it...

Aren't there about 15 weeks left to the year? You could take a day off each week -- so you'd have lots of long weekends  ;D

UP: my parents are leaving tomorrow and will be here the day after!!!!  :o

IA: my parents are going to be here for 10 days!!!!  ;)

It's such a mixed bag... I'm so thrilled to see them, but I have a lot to do before they get here. And I'm hoping my mom doesn't get weird at any point while she is here (she has tendencies to be melodramatic at times) and DH and I are sleeping on the floor for ten days.  :-\\\\ But, it will probably fly over since I have planned plenty of activities for us to do.  ;)

Hope you enjoy their visit, Jewlz. Think of it this way: it's *only* ten days.

Hope it goes smoothly and you can enjoy time with them as much as possible.

UP: got through to the surgery super quick today.

IA: it is another, different, female GP - sheesh, continuity of care, anyone? Can't wait for the follow up appointment with nice GP next week.
