Whole wheat spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic bread.

Given the cold, cold temps out, I probably should have made a hearty stew of some sort, but we were both craving spaghetti.

Last night I made a new recipe from the Hansa's Vegetarian Indian cookbook--aubergine and pea curry.  I added some veggie chicken pieces and we also had onion bhajis with it.

Hubby's brother gave us the cookbook for Christmas and we've been to Hansa's in Leeds once before we were even engaged.  The food's really good and the atmosphere very nice, not sure why we haven't been back in the past 6 years!

How was it? V got me the cookbook for xmas because I loved the series. They did so well, and all of the recipes are really nice hearty meals. I haven't made anything from the book yet though!

The past 2 nights have been Mexican inspired. Chili on Sunday and fish tacos yesterday. So I'm thinking maybe pasta, or to convince DH to make his amazing toad in the hole.

Very, very good!  I'm having some of the leftovers tonight (it makes so much, I froze some as well) and I imagine it will taste great after stewing for a few days.  :)

;D I always get excited when I make pizza! Its honestly my favourite food ever. Chicklet and I got so disappointed with the pizza here, that I finally just started making my own once I found a dough recipe we liked.

We had chicken pot pie, minus the puff pastry top for me as I'm watching what I eat. It was still yummy even if I just had the insides and a couple of boiled new potatoes on the side.

DH used the slow cooker on Thursday. It was a bacon and sausage casserole that he made up off the top of his head, and it was heavenly.  :o  He is usually a recipe person, so I was extra impressed.

Last night I had several glasses of wine with a friend I hadn't seen since middle school. ;D And then stumbled into a burrito place late.
