Bean, lentil and barley soup in the slow cooker

Last night I made a new recipe from the Hansa's Vegetarian Indian cookbook--aubergine and pea curry.  I added some veggie chicken pieces and we also had onion bhajis with it.

Hubby's brother gave us the cookbook for Christmas and we've been to Hansa's in Leeds once before we were even engaged.  The food's really good and the atmosphere very nice, not sure why we haven't been back in the past 6 years!

I have never found Hansa's to be open - so would love to eat there.

We'll have to check out what their hours are--at least we've got Prasad (in the near future)!

I've made that aubergine and pea curry again for tonight, but really having chewing issues due to my stupid tooth.  :(

Could you blend it and add rice to make a soup-type thing?

Waaaa!  It'll turn it into baby food!  I'll do my best, it is soft, just have to go slow and be careful not to catch my cheek on the stupid tooth.  If only I'd taken better care of my teeth as a child I wouldn't be in such a state!!  (As my previous dentist said, it's great that I'm so diligent now, but most of the damage is done before we're grown.)

That's kinda true with aubergine.  :-\\\\

Hope after tomorrow, it'll be better.

Last night was a turkey noodle stirfry with a side of my homemade kimchi (oh yumminess!)

Recipe?  :-*

Don't really have much of one, I'm afraid. It was pretty much, "What do I have in the house that I can throw together and taste nice?" - I had all kinds of various beans pulses and tinned tomatoes and frozen vegetable stock and celery and carrots and mushrooms and peppers an onions and leeks and herbs - viola soup! Which was my dinner again, because the best thing about slow cooking is the leftovers!

I'm so flipping cold that tonight is comfort food. Pot roast with all the yummy veggies cooked with it, steamed new potatoes, and gravy. May make some yorkies if I remember to make the batter  :D Oh and a nice bottle of red wine.

Lamb shepherds pie with carrot and cauliflower mash, with broccoli on the side.

I'm on Phase 1 of the Harcombe diet in an attempt to beat my addiction to carbs and chocolate.

Fruitgum, I do keto, it's awesome, I'm full ALL the time instead of ravenously hungry five minutes after eating and my calorie consumption has dropped massively :)

I have 558 calories left which is 9.6 shots of vodka. Yay dinner :)

DH is out, so I'll have leftover stuffed peppers from last night's dinner and I'll have some green beans on the side.

Quesadillas
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
