My trustiest pair of Wal-Mart Wrangler/Rustler blue jeans - the pair I wear the most frequently - that I have owned since some time in the distant pre-2004 days (before I moved over here), faded & with frayed hems, that have been washed & worn literally thousands of times...the seat of them has now started to fray apart too.  Gosh & they are only 7-8 years old, maybe more.  Boo!  :(

Guess they will only be for wearing around the house now.  :-\\\\

Ooooo Booooooooooooo!!!! It sucks so much when you have a pair of jeans that you love fray apart.  You could always sew some fabric in to close the holes.  But if you're like me, that's far too much effort. :\\\'( :\\\'(

That's what I've done with a pair of GAP button-fly jeans I've had for years.  The patches in the crotch area have patches on them now but they are comfy.  And I have to admit I do wear them outside of the house!

Good idea!  I think I actually have one of those iron-on patchy things around here somewhere, so might have to give it a go.

Further IA - I have been in the crappiest craptastic mood all day.  It's not hormonal because that's done for this month.  I don't know why?  Maybe sugar & booze withdrawals?  Winter blues?  It sucks.  Blah.

I made the mistake of looking to see if they had managed to Streetview the rural area that I grew up in.  Well, they have, parts of it anyway. Of course it was done in the summer when it looks all lovely and warm.  I just kept looking and looking and "driving" to the places where I had my first jobs or to my friends' houses.  Now I'm feeling slightly homesick.  :-\\\\  Shouldn't have done that!

I did something to our PS3...it won't recognise discs now.  Everything else works.  We're going to try a system restore, then call Sony to send us a new disc reader contraption, but still.  Argh.  Mr A isn't amused either and it's obvious it probably has to do with my marathon gaming sessions over the Christmas break.   :(

Oooh, that happened to our Xbox 360.  It turned out the motor that was supposed to spin the discs had nearly seized and wasn't spinning fast enough for the laser to "read" the discs. Heartbreaking. About 3 hours and few youtube videos later DH had managed to fix it though, so don't give up hope!

Oh, but I thought frayed jeans were all the rage now. You can buy new ones that are already threadbare, frayed and holey!! Think how trendy you will be  ;D

My IA:

The air mattress that I sleep on just sh*t the bed.  I woke up this morning with my back on the floor, surrounded by deflated mattress.  >:(

I'm crashing at a friend's place until my Fiancee Visa comes through, hence the air mattress.

Also, the roommate of the friend I'm staying with just told him that he's moving out at the end of the month.  My friend can't afford his apt by himself, so he might have to move out.

Now I need to find another friend to stay with...one that will allow me to bring my 2 cats with me.  :(  But it has to be very close to where I am now, since I just got a new client at work.  I'm selling my car since I'm moving to Scotland, and didn't bother registering it last month since I thought I would be leaving at the end of December.  I have to depend on the local bus system now. Awesome.  :\\\'(

We're hoping we can get it running.  I will miss the games, but oddly, I am a bit frustrated that we finally got a telly that justifies having a Blu-ray player and I screw up the thing we play our BDs on.  If we can't fix this, I am considering getting an Xbox and a separate Blu-ray player.  We'll keep the PS3 as well to watch iPlayer, 4od, and ITV player on.  When you factor in the old VCR, the PS2, the DVD recorder/VCR we're borrowing from my FiL, the Sky box, plus the V+ box Virgin has never bothered picking up, our entertainment centre is creaking under the weight.  Oh, and we have an old monitor Mr A keeps saying that we'll recycle soon.  We will be like those people with the telly balanced on top of the old console telly, except for slightly more 21st century.

I hear ya...My 2.5 y/o DD is in the midst of it...pull ups (Wilkinsons brand) have been a huge help and she's doing OK, hit & miss and some days better than others...it does get better.

My IA: I've had this headache since I got out of bed...I just need more caffeine!  :P
