Waiting to see how bad the snow, sleet/ice, rain and more snow turns out tomorrow.  ??? I'd rather have a blizzard.

Ohhhh, heard about that.  It better be cleared up by Wednesday afternoon or I will be posting my travel woes in here.   :P  Mother Nature better not screw with my trip home!

The dryer portion of our washer/dryer is not working. The dial just spins freely and it won't switch on...the washer works fine. This will be the 3rd time in that last 6 months we've had a problem with the unit and I really don't want to call the letting agent again, they know who I am just by my voice  :-\\\\

Good luck with the publishing! Be sure to tell me how it goes for you so maybe *some day* I can work on getting something printed as well. How exciting! Since the written bulk is finished, that's a huge relief right? For editing I recommend reading aloud since that helps me catch my mistakes.

thanks! I find this entire process very, very stressful. I'm currently dreaming about just going back to teaching (which I felt good at). Working in an office environment makes me tense.

Out of the kindness of my heart I took time out of my day to look over a distributors report.
I pointed out various spelling and grammar mistakes, which he said are fine since I "do not understand British grammar". I had no idea double negatives were appropriate in a business report here ::).

I also pointed out the product he selected for the client is inappropriate and told him what would work instead as well as how to comply with certain laws that he was ignoring. He just got really annoyed that I would critique his assessment of the client and said since I am a designer I could not possibly understand these things.

Of course my boss got back to him today with all the same remarks I made and now he is throwing a fit at me that I didn't check his report properly.  >:( From here on I am only helping him out the door!

Just yesterday my sinuses started itching (which is never a good sign) and today my nose is running like a faucet. I'm hoping that somehow I've skipped the congestion phase and gone straight into drainage mode of whatever cold I picked up... :(

But the good news is, I rang the GP's and apparently I'm still okay to get my infant vaccinations on Thursday as long as I'm not running a fever. It remains to be seen whether I'll get a "wowwypop" for being such a good girl though. ha!

3rd IA: for whatever reason Vodafone & Orange think our neighbourhood is a good location to put a communications pylon. Uh, no I don't want to look out my (only) window (and we live on the 7th floor) at a 14.9m EM emitting tower...their main argument that it wasn't a residential neighbourhood since the pylon itself is in a private carpark for the shopping centre next door but there are our block of flats (97 residences), a primary & nursery school and 25 bungalow's within 50 meters of the thing...so much for the consultation that claimed 'they would listen & respond to residents concerns' as the engineers were here today marking out the site with spraypaint to begin work in the near future.

Sorry but I don't like the idea of EM radiation bombarding my little girl 24/7...the sooner we get out of here the better.  >:( which leads to:

4th IA of the day: Still no word from the Embassy  [smiley=bomb.gif]

Perhaps you're allergic to all the snow we're having today (and have had recently).

Seriously, I do hope that it gets better for you quickly.

My IA: being late for work this morning and having it have nothing to do with the weather.  Not to mention, because I was running late, I forgot my lunch and my umbrella.    :-\\\\

Over the course of the day, my runny nose has been joined by burning eyes and a full-on head cold. :(

I was SO excited to finally get a chance to go hashing after work tonight, too, after a two year absence and now I've got to lug all my running gear back home again and crawl under the duvet with some soup.

I hate that I have zero warning over colds and flu anymore, it's like I'm fine one day, and literally BAM! bowled over the next. :(
