Yeah it's more that there are people that I've spoken to that don't realise that it's two different types of peanut butter mixes. They know it's not produced by the same companies, but they just assume that peanut butter filling is peanut butter filling.

Do they?  But jars of peanut butter by different companies all have their own flavour, which is why I only buy Jif, but my sister-in-law swears by Skippy (which I think tastes like burnt peanuts)... I mean... everybody has their own recipe, right?

All right JFKimberley, I think it's time for you to go outside and take a walk!  How much of that video did you actually watch?  I got through the comparison of the two yellow bits

hahah!  It's terrible, isn't it?!  I am a bad person for sharing that.  :P

The rest was wasted on Hostess Crumb Cakes, Fritos and Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-tarts.  And a Charleston Chew.

Wasted? WASTED?! No amount of money spent on Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts™ is wasted! That money is an investment in pleasure, and that investment will be fulfilled by the good people of Kellogg's™! You should be commended for your forward thinking when it comes to your future happiness!

I don't even like Pop-Tarts™, but this impassioned comment had me standing on my desk crying out, "O Captain!  My Captain!"

I'd call that more than an "inconvenient annoyance"!

True.  :(  But I was still in the aura phase and couldn't even see what I was typing when I posted that.  It was well past bedtime, so I just choked down a button* and went to sleep before the pain hit.  I woke up feeling pretty refreshed, so yay!

* Button =  paracetamol + codeine caplet; the first time my husband brought me strong OTC pain relief, he gave me paracetamol + codeine, and the one he gave me were disc-shaped.  I said it looked like a button.  The term stuck, even when we don't get the disc-shaped ones.

My sister lives for those ibu/codeine or para/codeine tablets. Besides visiting ME, it's her favorite part about England.

I may be wrong in this but...

My husband and I were having lunch in Chiquito. It's JUST Chiquito, nothing special. Family friendly.

A family came in with two younger kids. They had a tablet to watch shows or whatever. LOUDLY. It had to have been on full volume. There was a row of seats separating us and them and they might as well have been right next to me sitting in my booth with me with how loud it was.

I know it is laid back place, but I found it so annoying. -_-

Got my first payslip and I'm under the wrong tax code. I'm only contacted for 20 hours so I should pay 0 tax but they took 20%. 20% of  £600 is a lot when you aren't expecting it.

Tried to register with the HMRC online so I can submit a correction but guess what... they can't verify my identity because I am new to the UK.

I didn't have the energy to call. I took a nap instead.

Giving them a call should be pretty straightforward - I was on the wrong tax code for several months about 10 years ago and it just took one quick phone-call to the tax office to get it sorted out (back then I don't think there was an online option). They just changed the tax code listed under my NI number and then I got a nice, big cheque in the mail a couple of weeks later (plus tax credit on each payslip for the next few months until all the money had been paid back to me).

That has happened to me before. Call them when you can and they will sort it no problem. Actually, I find HMRC really helpful and friendly. You won't see the refund until your next check though. Definitely inconvenient!
