I have a space in my freezer... stuff gets relegated to "the bottom drawer" when I'm tired of moving it around and given up on it ever being used.  I've got two chicken breasts in there that I know I bought in December of 2016.  I have a pack of bake-at-home baguettes from sometime last year (no oven... what was I thinking?).  And, my greatest shame, a turkey leg from November that I thought I could convince my husband we could smoke and enjoy (like you'd buy at an amusement park) until I realized he really hates eating meat on the bone because it's messy.  And there's no getting around how messy a turkey leg is to eat.  So these things sit in the bottom drawer.

But I am going to smoke that turkey leg this summer.  He doesn't have to participate.  I want the noms... and to free up some of my tiny, tiny freezer.  The Bottom Drawer is 1/4 of my freezer capacity.  Wasted!

Perhaps he would eat it if you cut it off the bone for him?  :)

I speak from experience!  ;D
I won't eat meat on the bone because, bone!  Before my husband knew me very well, he tried to feed me chicken breast on the bone which just wasn't happening so he ended up having to cut the meat off for me!  ;D

My 4 year old tears into meat on the bone like a proper American!  Drives my mother mental.  I think she genuinely thinks my daughter is going to swallow an entire bone....

My parents would buy "family pack" bone-in, skin-on chicken breast, sprinkle a bit of Mrs. Dash or something on it, then put it skinside-down in the electric skillet for 30-ish minutes with the lid on, and dinner is served (with some kind of steamed veg, and probably some rice pilaf from a box).

I have to admit, that sounds incredible tasty right now.  But I can't imagine my husband being excited about it.  And it's so hard to find skin-on boneless chicken breast.  Maybe I'll ask the butchers what they'd charge for that.

I do this with chicken thighs and just cut out the bones while leaving the skin on. SO TASTY.

I booked driving lessons today but they had no automatic instructors in the area. So I'll be learning manual for the test and I suppose that's better in the long run. But I am gonna have to get used to shifting with the other arm and I'm not looking forward to it!

That's a good thing, definitely! And you'll not even notice that you're shifting with the wrong hand, it's surprising!  :)

Yay! I have a good instructor with an excellent pass rate and patience for manual lessons if you need suggestions. Manual is best as it just means you aren’t limited and it’s done and out of the way like forever! :) I did manual test so I could always  have the option if I wanted without paying to retest. You’ll be fine adjusting to the other arm.

My bottom drawer is sliced bread and cornettos/ice-cream. So it's a nice drawer. Haha.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Ours is chips! I like yours better. Middle drawer is frozen fruit for smoothies and top is homemade burgers and fish/seafood since its the smallest.

My top draw is bags of frozen veg.  Then the ice cream (three flavors, plus classic Magnums).  Then meats.  Then The Bottom Drawer.
