The question is, will your office comply?

That is still TBD. They'll get the report after I read it and confirm nothing is incorrect. I am just rolling with the punches as long as I'm getting paid (for now). I just can't believe how difficult they were on this. I spent last week just trying to stay calm, I'll start working on learning new skills this week. And try harder to find some volunteer opportunities, but even that is a challenge here because companies seem to want people who don't need accommodation to volunteer as well. (I have a friend with a similar condition who has been turned down for every opportunity she's tried).

The general UK attitude towards everything except visible physical disabilities is really not good, and even the physical disabilities are getting very rough treatment from transit providers. I really hope that changes, so many people would be able to work if employers were accommodating.

Heard back about the job....from my husband....not from HR LOL (over a month after my face-to-face"

He's said "Hopefully [HR lady] has spoken with [me]. We are in a position that recruitment of PMs has been frozen as MSS prepares to see us over to SAS [they are combining two teams]. So despite appreciating [my] skills and experience to date would be good for our team, we will need to wait a few more months before we can look to re-open any positions. Let me know if [HR b*tch] has not fed something similar back to [me]."

My husband's repsonse?? "No [HR w*nker] hasn't fed anything back to [me]."

Is it wrong that I don't care about the job, I'm pissed off about the HR situation? Like the job would have been a nice bump in salary and a good opportunity etc., but I was very "whatever" about it as wasn't actively looking to move roles....but I'm irritated that this lady, from the sounds of it, NEVER seems to do his job, and my husband's only response was to say "no she hasn't fed back.". Like This lady is known by their team for being rubbish and literally sits online but "away/idle" for HOURS and then doesn't response and she clearly doesn't handle comms, what DOES she do?! I want to feed back to her managers but obviously I can't do this (I haven't even spoken to her!) and I think it's too awkward for my husband to feed back to his line manager who was the one hiring, so she's basically just going to get away with being TERRIBLE and that is what bothers me the most. I know I shouldn't let it, but I just can't help it.

If anybody is hiring PMs, let me know :)
Well, the UK may be looking for a new PM!

hahaha Normally I would say I'm severely under-qualified for that, but I think it all comes down to who you ask.

I'm sure you're well clued up about the legalities of such things Margo (even being in the UK a short time) , but employers do have to make reasonable accommodations or it's quite illegal and quite the grounds to bring 'em to court.

I'd vote for you. Well as long as you agree to cancel Brexit.   ;)

They were really hoping it wouldn't be covered under the equality act I think... But the report from the assessor actually called out that it likely would be (but that is determined by tribunal). I'm genuinely impressed that the nurse who did the assessment was knowledgeable on all of my conditions!

Well sounds like a great nurse!   It's probably that the employer is a bit clueless on the Equality Act, but hopefully they'll take it all on board, because otherwise, it won't end well for them.

Can we add Taco Tuesdays to that as well?

The HR person managing my case is on leave until August 13. No contact info on her out of office for others on the team so I wonder how they will receive the assessment or if I just have to wait til she's back? I'd be a lot more frustrated if I wasn't getting paid but having your life on hold and unable to do the job you were hired for as a result of barriers created by the company is beyond annoying!

Can you use this paid time to take a short UK-based online certification of some sort?

I completely understand your frustration but don't let that stop you  enjoying your time off! Make the most of it!  :)
