Currently hating the mail system...

though I'm not sure which country to blame.

My parents sent two packages two weeks before Christmas.  Late, I know.  But yet, it still hasn't arrived.  That's a long delivery time.  I realize there was a mass of snow that may have hindered it arriving before the holidays, but come on...it's not that bad now.  Hoping that I get the one and only gift of American style goodies that I've ever asked for in the seven years of living here (such as good marshmellows and Triskets).

My grandma shipped a very small box Dec 18th and I got it 2 days ago...It is VERY slow!

Same here...my brother sent a package from California on the 18th of Dec, we've still not gotten it...it was DD's Christmas pressie from them.

I just received a package today that ChillyWilly sent before New Year.

Interestingly it's only the 6th time since late November that we've received post at all.

Yep, a card -- JUST A CARD! -- from my FIL just arrived yesterday.  It was mailed from the US 10 days before Christmas.  

Been there.  I sent something to my parents on the 2nd of December and it arrived on the 23rd, the day before they left town to spend Christmas with other family!  I know it's only 3 weeks, but for goodness sake, it usually only takes one week.  

Hope everyone gets their packages soon.

I feel your pain.  I don't like to ask anyone to send food items over, so when my cousin asked if I wanted anything before Christmas I jumped at the chance. 
She mailed it on the 3rd of December from Kentucky and I received it on the 30th.

Me too-  Still waiting for a letter from my mom.  Plus my wedding photos that were sent over 2 weeks ago, if I lose those I will go on a ghetto-fabulous rampage! 

My Spoonflower.com order was shipped from the States on 10 Dec and still hasn't arrived yet. I've finally given up on it and am going to have them reprint and resend everything.

We've been having a lot trouble getting stuff as well.  I did get a couple of letters today, which was nice, but...

I saw that they had left a package for us around the side of the house, since it was too big to go through the letter box.  I thought "Finally, something has arrived!!!".  Turns out it's a package for someone on the next street over.   

My husband and MIL both sent me things on the Dec. 17th; a gift package from MIL and visa documents from husband, which were sent with priority handling.  Neither has arrived yet, even though the cards MIL sent to my family got there last week.

I just received a Christmas card from the US today.  And my aunt and uncle sent a package before Christmas, and it didn't arrive until New Year's Eve.  I suspect the post office is still working on the backlog caused by all the snow!

I think there are delays on both sides.  The Christmas parcel my mum sent US to UK took four weeks to arrive.  And the small parcel I sent to my brother (UK to US) on 20 November finally arrived to them on New Year's Eve - nearly 6 (!!!) weeks later.

It's horrible knowing that something's in the post and having no idea when it will actually turn up!   

It isn't only US to UK and vice versa....within the UK things have been pretty bad too. We have had many customers this year not getting their items...a customer received a large letter envelope with their item that had been posted first class on the 17th of December- Today!

Goodness - some of these times people have listed are horrifying! My mum and I posted packages to each other on Dec 11. She got hers Dec 22 and I got mine Christmas Eve... no idea how we lucked out! It's been a different story at work, though. Most of the stuff that comes to me is from China and Korea. The backlog has been pretty bad and packages that were sent at the same time arrive several days apart. I hardly received anything before Christmas and now it seems every day I'll step away from my desk only to come back to a fort of boxes that I have to crawl through to get to my chair. 

well ive been wainting on a package that i order in november from stateside candy company and was supposed to be delivered on the 2 december by parcel force 48 and i still dont have the package the mail in this country stinks i cant believe that ive been lied to about the parcel from a truck being stolen and the parcel was on it and then they find it and its still not been deiivered and i cant refund untilt he parcel has been reported lost by parcel force
