The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie.

(But can I add a huge recommendation for the last book I read, On Chesil Beach? It maybe the closest thing to the perfect book I've ever come across!)

FINALLY starting the new Harry Potter!  :D

I can't recommend the last book I read enough. The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova was an excellent (if not long) read!!!

Just finished Maya Angelou's "The Heart of a Woman" and loved it for the second time. Next time I hit the Book Barn I really will go to the 'B' section... I think! ;D

Yes, he's very funny!   ;D

I've read Paradise News, Nice Work and Therapy. I also have The Picturegoers, but haven't read it yet.

Kay.  He was recommended to DH by a Nobel Prize Winner.  I ordered him the trilogy for Christmas!

Avalon by Anya Seton.  I used to read stuff in this genre years ago, but this is fairly boring.  My new rule is--if it's boring stop reading it and find something else.
