Just started The Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest.  I have to say, the last two books (well, so far on the third) are leaps and bounds better than the first.

Let me know what you think...I tried to read that a while ago because the premise sounded interesting, but couldn't really get into it (though I was also reading a few other things at the time so I should give it another shot).

No, I have not read that but I'm about to online reserve it from the library.   ;)  Alrighty, how about The Red Tent? Or The Pact?  If you haven't read The Red Tent, you need to leave work immediately and start reading.  :D

Not read either of those, but I will put them on my list, because clearly I must love them and just don't know it yet.  :P

It's one of my "keepers". I read it when I was in the States in the early 2000's, and I loved it then. I got on amazon.co.uk in like,May, when I bought DH's birthday prezzie;got it used, because I didn't want to pay full price. I also got Snow in August. I got North River when I was in the States, and kept that one and brought it over with me. I'm not a devoted fan of Hamill or anything, just like those particular books. ;D

*Had to edit my post from last night. Saw my books on the bookshelf, and thought "Oh" :-X to myself. *

I just finished Jhumpa Lahiri's Unaccustomed Earth and it was gorgeous.  Not as nice as Interpreter of Maladies or The Namesake, but still lovely.  I sobbed through the last few stories.

... A Confederacy of Dunces? That's probably my all-time fave.

I am starting this book tomorrow, partly because you are so enthusiastic about it ;)

A Confederacy of Dunces is really good!

I'm reading Death in Venice and Maggie O'Farrell's After You'd Gone.

My latest grievance by Elinor Lipman.  Not wonderful but it was the OK-est thing I could find in the staff room.

I liked both of these, however Remember Me is best if you've read her previous books about the other sisters.
