My husband requested his drivers licence be returned to him quite soon after they received the application. They returned it very quickly. Today we got an envelope with all of his other ID, passports/residence permit/marriage certificate etc. Does anyone know if this normal?

I think if you request documents returning they'll just return the whole lot.

He only requested that they return the drivers license, which came less than a week after the request. The date of the letter was 20th January.
The rest of the documents arrived with a different letter dated 28th February. It says they have been returned "for your convenience".
Perhaps this means someone is finally looking at the file?  ;D

Looks like my suspicions were correct. Got his approval letter today.  ;D  Can't believe both of our journeys are finally over!
