Thanks. We seem to take it in turns to get stressed out about the application and right now it is definitely me.

Maybe you can get the local MP to find out on you're behalf? Hopefully you should be alright, if they request anything from you they will let you know.

I've never contacted an MP in my life. Has anyone on the group done it before? Email and/or letter?

M.

I would ring up and arrange a face to face meeting. How long have you been waiting now?

Now 78 business days. And we just got another email saying it's not straight-forward.

Crazy. 51 BD for me tomorrow. I'm hoping I hear something towards the end of this month. Well the end of the month will be 60 business days. Then again Pakistan applications seem to be taking ages to process. Fingers crossed for everyone waiting.

Are they responding to enquiries you’ve made?  Seems odd that they would keep sending the not straight forward email over and over again.

On Monday the call centre told me we can no longer escalate and can only wait.

We've had 3 email from UKVI. On 2 months, we got a not straight-forward email. Then on Monday still not straight-forward email, and then yesterday another one about it being not being straight-forward and them continuing to work on it.

Bit odd that - but maybe they are working on the application hence them sending out the email. Then again, i'm not sure how the mailing system works at Sheffield. Surely they just queue up email addresses for applicants and then send out the emails as a batch?

I'm sure they have a database of logged applications and send them based on how many have passed x days in groups. It's a rather simple thing to do with canned responses like that but gives absolutely no personal info for why the app is taking so long :(

And yet another email today, identical to the one yesterday. So three in a week.

Has your spouse tried contacting their MP at all? This seems rather unusual :( I'm sorry, it's so unfair the random nature of who gets those emails and is left hanging without any idea of when their application will be processed.

Now that's just playing mind games with you. I think they have some sort of weird crush.

Wish you all the best. Each day just gets even harder.

I m right behind you with 49 BD and you got that right that it takes forever to process them the applications from Pakistan...just hoping for the best....checking emails everyday and even contacted them twice to make sure that they are working on my application.

Never contact them and feed them even more money. When they decide to process the application we will hear something, i don't think they want to be stuck in work over Christmas so they'll want to get as many applications processed as possible.

And finally... on day 138 the decision made email has arrived!

By Monday I will know for sure if its a happy or sad ending but for now I am just so happy that it has all come to an end.

The wait has been torturous but for those still going through it, I honestly believe that all you can do is wait. Calling and emailing I have learned are just a waste of time and money. Stay informed but don't drive yourself crazy reading every detail and obsessing over every word... it is already in their hands and possibly not much you can do to influence them at that point. I personally have stayed off the forums for a little while and stopped stalking my emails ... but I guess that all came with time, after so long I either chilled or lose my mind.
Hopefully no one's wait will become as long as mine and like j4v3d said... they will hopefully put a rush on it for the holidays.
