Lol - I can't say I paid that much attention to my message. :P

Pink toasters reference is from a thread I posted in May when we got confusing email. A couple of people checked and confirmed that ours was a same-sex marriage, and then a couple of other lesbians joined on the thread and someone said something about recruitment and free toasters, which became pink toasters and then everyone wanted to be an honorary lesbian, so I was just keeping the tradition going. The rainbow cakes arrived in this thread, and I think the rainbow reference in that instance is a happy coincidence. LOL

Ah I didn't realise that's the reason the pink toasters came about, love it!  :) The rainbow cakes are quite fitting for my mates birthday because me and his partner are throwing him a huge surprise party in the Gay Village in the city - this is the only way I'm keeping preoccupied with the wait, is by planning and baking  ;D

My sister is a lesbian and has a pink hello kitty toaster. It burns the outline of hello kitty's face into the bread. Which is neither here nor there, but hey ho.

Now I want cake...

I had this toaster, and it was the best way to have breakfast IMHO.

Hee hee - this thread is surreal. Now I want a hello kitty toaster! Has anyone seen the film Pride set in the Welsh Valleys during 1980s Miner's strike. It's hilarious and heartbreaking. One of the lines is 'Now tell me is it true, are all lesbians really vegetarians?' I guess we'll have to add to this myth with pink toaster ownership. Though I am more or less vegetarian myself, so perhaps it's fact after all.

Cake all round then - is it out of the oven yet SHL2017?

Haha first batch were out but the colours were not vibrant enough - noted for the final bake next week and have purchased edible glitter to top the buttercream icing. I think Im substituting stress for colours  ;D

Note to EmilyUK - I know you're reading this - it is NOT acceptable to be on this forum all day. I know it's hard, but UKVI and visa application, despite how it feels, is NOT the only thing in your life. You DO have things to do. NO you cannot 'check it just one more time'. Do OTHER STUFF!

NOW!

I can still see you!

GO!

If you're good you can check back this evening and there might be cake.

GO!

Uh oh. Should've listened to you. Now officially a forum 'junkie'!

I literally google "pink toaster joke", "pink toaster reference", and "pink toaster visa" to try to figure it out haha

I once grew a wildflower for a biology project. It grew up, curled in on itself, and grew back down into the soil.

I identify with this wildflower. It describes perfectly how this visa process feels!
