Hi, larrabee & all.
Tomorrow is BD #26 for me. Getting very nervous having waited this long. Just wondering if lack of a letter from the property company saying, 'yes, your fiancee' can live with you' would be grounds for them to refuse the application, even if everything else is in proper order? My fiance' is part owner of his flat & we forgot to include the letter in the original mailing of our application (though I took someone's advice here on the forum & obtained it in case UKVI come asking for it.) Should we be worried? My mind is running nonstop these days!!

To my knowledge that is something they require to be evidenced yes. Hopefully they would ask for further documentation rather than just refuse. Although I do stand to be corrected.

Quick question..

I received an email confirmation yesterday stating my online application has been received by Sheffield, but there isn't any mention of my supporting documents. Is this normal?? Or should I also get an email verifying my documents arrived and are waiting to be processed? Just a little stressed here and am a big hater of the waiting game already   :(

Okay whew  :) Thank you so much!

So does the countdown start from yesterday (from when I received the email)? Or does it start from when I submitted my application, or from the day of my biometrics app?

Ha! They sent back the passport photos, and only kept a black and white print out of the wedding photo (only photo I sent), the copy of my husband’s passport page, and my print of my online application. They sent back copies and originals of everything else. This process is so unorganised!

They kept the passport photos that I sent of myself, but they sent back all of the other photos that I submitted (I didn't include copies because I printed them for less than 10 cents at CVS). The only thing that I really cared about getting back was our marriage certificate since that damn thing had me making a 2 hour round trip to get it and it was $15. Don't want to have to do that again any time soon and we got it back, so all good.
Met husband: April 2013
Married: June 2016
Applied Online: Jan. 16th 2018
Biometrics: Jan. 26th
Documents sent: Feb. 2nd
UPS tracking: received Feb. 5th
Confirmation email: Feb. 7th
Decision email: March 9th
Passport back: March 12th
Decision: Approval!!!

Thanks! Idk why I keep feeling like what if they reject me or something goes wrong or they lose my application lol :-\\\\
Although Ive provided everything they want and I met all the requirements. I just feel so anxious. Is this normal? How is the visa success rate? Like how many people get rejected percentage wise?

It's very normal to question the application once it's left your hands.  Really try to put it out of your mind and keep busy.  It'll likely be some time before you hear further.  Save your sanity!

It’s different for every country and we don’t have statistics specifically for spousal visas.

UKVI publish overall stats of approvals vs. refusal per country of citizenship but that’s for all visa types lumped together.

I can’t access the current statistics on my phone though so I can’t check them for Tanzania.

The USA is over 95% but that's the only country I know the stat for.

I lied, they DID send back the passport photos. They were tucked in between some pages in my old passport. So bizarre. It's too bad that my hair is completely different than it was in November, otherwise I would totally use those photos again.
