😳

I know it’s a tough time being in limbo.  But this is soooooo not anything to worry about.  They are NOT going to ask you to pay the IHS surcharge for the dependent because it’s not owed or due.  They asked dramahuman for it, as their visa couldn’t be issued without it.   :)

Hi all, I've been "lurking" on this thread for some time while I waited for my visa application to get processed but never posted before.  Just wanted to say seeing everyone's experiences made my experience a little easier.  So THANK YOU.  My spouse (who is British) and I went a slightly different route and used a law firm based in NY who specializes in immigration into the UK.  The amount of paperwork and back and forth was excruciating!  But they said "Hey, do you want to hear it from us, or from the Home Office?"  So we collected everything as asked and let them do the cover letter and submitting.  Last week we got word that we were approved (yaye) and the lawyers got my packet back and I should be receiving it today from NY.  So I guess they were worth the extra expense.  Below was my timeline experience for the priority visa application:

Biometrics appt: FEB. 23, 2018
Documents submitted to Sheffield: FEB. 28., 2018
Decision made email: MAR. 26, 2018
Lawyers received packet back: MAR. 29, 2018

I'm waiting for Fed Ex now to get the packet back from the lawyers.  So thanks again, and I'll be using the other forum topics to get myself ready for the move in May!

Best of luck to everyone here (especially Southernboy!!) and hope you all receive positive news soon.  -FJ

Congrats! Did the lawyer tell you which days the visa was approved for? The vignette only gives you 30 days so I hope they honoured your wish to move in May :)

Yes, on the application we asked for entry date of May 1 and the lawyers said the request was granted.  The vignette is good from May 1 - May 30.  We needed April to get everything in order here in Los Angeles.
