So now that I've dropped Southernboy off at the airport the waiting til Monday is getting to me. Just a question, IF they refuse how long does it take for them to issue a refund? I know they do it automatically, but would I likely see it in my account prior to getting the documents back on Monday?

The only thing you would be refunded is the IHS surcharge, which can take up to 6 weeks to be refunded after you have received the decision.

See: https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-application/refunds

If it's an approval, I'm not sure if they will automatically refund the IHS anyway (since you weren't supposed to have to pay it), or whether you will have to physically apply for a refund.

Right just the IHS fee, that is what I meant. Dang it. I was hoping I'd have some sort of clue before the packages arrive. I was seriously ok while I was with him. Just tried to focused on spending time together. Now I don't have him as a distraction. Ugh. At least we will finally know on Monday. Now where is that wine I bought...

There was a short period a couple of years ago, where you could tell if an application had been refused because the refund would be initiated, but now it takes a few weeks for the refund to be processed, so it's not a reliable indicator anymore.

It's not long to wait now :).

I bought a new laptop while the hubby was here and I plan on getting everything off my old one onto the new one and sorting through mounds of clothes and getting ready hopefully for the yes.

I’m itching to know, so I can’t imagine how you two feel! Best of luck and really really hoping it’s a yes for you two!  :D

Thanks y'all!!! Even my son is anxious and he was totally cool through all if it. But now he knows an answer is coming and he thinks it's "stupid" they don't just tell you in the email. Lol

When the decisions were made in New York, they used to tell you in the email and they still do for those visas that are still processed there.
But when they moved the settlement visas to Sheffield, they stopped giving you the answer in the email.
