Hi guys, I posted in my own ongoing thread about this (https://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=93518.60), but as this thread is read often I wanted to reach out for some advice.

So, I went this evening to post my documents to the scanning hub in NY through UPS (with both labels bought though VFS) and was finally feeling so relieved that everything is in the mail and I can sit back and wait for a while. Have just realized that I did not sign the application page that I mailed in--I was so meticulous about getting everything in order and making sure all the different papers were in my envelope that I completely forgot to sign  :\\\'(  Honestly, I am freaking out! Has anyone done this before?? What did you do to rectify it? Any advice would be great, I was already worrying a bit with all the horror stories of the scanning hub losing people's documents and I've screwed it up myself!!

Approvals are quick.  Refusals take time.  I suspect you have a shiny visa flinging it's way to you.  ;)

Hey All....I need help

I just realized my sons name is incorrect. His name got flipped. Is there anyway to get this corrected?

On the day of biometrics, they did realize his name was flipped and corrected his name. It didnt dawn on me that his name was flipped on the other docs.

Will this cause refusal? Can this be corrected?

If they corrected it in the system at biometrics, then it won't be an issue.

There was a bug in the online application for a while where it would list applicant names as First, Maiden, Married Name instead of First, Middle, Married Name... so you just had to get it corrected at biometrics and all was fine.

Thanks so much. I was freaking out.  I reprinted his application and was just about to scan and email it to them..with how his name should be. I know common sense is not a name of this game.

Was this after Sheffield asking for missing documents?

Hi, this is my first time posting on the forums :)

I thought I would go ahead and post my timeline:
Online App Submitted: Oct 22nd
Biometrics: Oct 25th
Document received in NY: Oct 26th
Documents received by Sheffield email: Nov 27th

I'm currently on 31 wd. My husband called the help line this morning, he was told our application would be escalated. He was given a reference number, and was told it could take up to two days to hear back regarding the escalation.

Ah, so they seem to be using a new email address for the new system.

In the past, when all the documents were sent to Sheffield, they would contact you to ask for extra documents using the VISAINFO.SHEFO@fco.gov.uk email address.
