Hello everyone,

I am going to email them the documents today that they failed to scan in New York.

These are:

Sponsors passport scan
6 months bank statements
6 months pay slips
Appendix 2

They still have my original documents in the document pack somewhere so I've had to get replacements printed and scanned.

Can I assume that they have the letter from my employer and also the letter from the bank confirming the authenticity of everything? Or would they have asked for them?

Only problem would be that if I was to get the letters printed again, the dates on the letters would be after the online application.

Should I just do this and make a note in the back of appendix 2 explaining this or maybe write another covering letter and include it in the email with the replacement documents?

Any help would be so appreciated right now!

Alex

Hi!
Not sure if this helps but, they specifically asked me for my sponsors employment letter. I think if they wanted it, they would mention it. Also, I had to scan 6m bank and payslips. Took 7 emails to get this over to them. They don’t accept large emails, and I’m  no expert but it took me all day to figure out the size of email which was accepted. Total nightmare. Especially when this was already sent in the first place.

Good luck 👍🏼

Thank you for your reply. I have managed to get the bank and my employer to print off replacement letters.

I have mentioned it in the notes section of appendix 2 that I also have to replace.

How could they miss out pretty much the entire financial section of my package. Its beyond me that this is what we get for all that money...

If anyone needs help resizing PDF files to fit in an email let me know and ill be more than happy to explain.

Anyone else with any advice on my situation please please chime in.

Thank you all.

Alex

Everyone, you can complain here about the abysmal "service" you've received from VFS global.

https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/us/en/customer-experience

https://www.vfsglobalcustomerexperience.com/CMS/Complaint/Create?Mission=UKVI

It just might encourage them to sort themselves out sooner rather than later and at least you'll have done something!

I'd like people to complain to UKVI/Home Office/their MPs... an external entity who might have some authority to effect change (or make them reconsider this contract!).

I received the 'decision made' email today. Hope this help/encourages others like me who were asked to send more documents that they are certain were sent to NYC.

This email from Sheffield was received around 36 hours after I sent them the requested documents via email.

Fingers crossed I've been approved and now time to frantically check the UPS tracking number.

Hello everyone.

I am having to resend my 6 months worth of bank statements.

I have managed to download the pdf document of my statements from my internet bank.

Can I send these in as the replacements or do I really have to stand and scan them all off of paper?

I do have a letter of authenticity from my bank manager that I can include

Let's make that an "as well as", rather than an "instead of."   :)

We downloaded our bank statements off of Chase's website and sent those in. It worked for me.

It would be interesting to know what format documents were originally sent by the people who have had emails requesting docs. I.E. originals, copies, one sided, two sided, what size etc. just to see if there is some kind of pattern or to get some insight about how the scanning hub operates. Seems like they may just plop your stack of papers in the feeder and that may explain why docs are “missing” or “incomplete”? Just a thought
