Hello, was just wondering how far out appointments were after submitting the online application? Are the appointments the same as the biometric appointments for non-priority? I'm planning to go to the one in Houston, TX ...

I submitted non-priority last time and seriously regretted it, planning to re-submit a new application priority this time ... We submit the application via Visa4UK first, and then pay + set up appointment on the VSF website?

Also, has anybody heard anything about when the IHS fee is due to double? Thought it was supposed to in Dec, fingers tightly crossed it doesn't double before I get back to the US in a few weeks ... best if it never doubles at all ...

Sending congratulations to those approved and warm wishes to everybody waiting and hope you all receive approvals ... such a brutal process, solidarity with people facing rejections or enormous delays.

I think you’re mixing up the Settlement Priority Service ($793) with the Settlement Premium Service ($1900)

If you just want to use priority, which costs $793, you submit the online application, book your biometrics appointment as normal, and then go to the VFS Global website and purchase priority processing and your shipping labels. Then you print the priority receipt and return shipping label, place them in your package, attend biometrics and send everything to New York within 5 days.

The only differences from last time are:
- you purchase priority from the VFS website
- you mail everything to New York instead of Sheffield

If you want to use the Settlement Premium Service, it costs $1900 (and includes priority processing and shipping) and you book a Premium Centre appointment instead of a regular biometrics appointment when you submit the online application. Then you go to the VFS Global website and purchase the Settlement Premium Service for $1900.

After that, you attend your Premium appointment, where you submit your biometrics and documents in person. You will have the option to keep your passport while the visa is processing (which is really all you are paying an extra $1000 for).

Honestly, I feel that the Premium Service is a waste of money, especially as you have a visa refusal (because it may not be any faster), so I would recommend just using the priority service.

Also, has anybody heard anything about when the IHS fee is due to double? Thought it was supposed to in Dec, fingers tightly crossed it doesn't double before I get back to the US in a few weeks ... best if it never doubles at all ...

The increase was approved and signed into Parliament on December 18th, which means it should be increasing on Tuesday 8th January (21 days after it was signed).

And your application will be crazy not-straight-forward, so priority may be a waste anyways....  Yes, your application will be opened faster, but there is so many extra checks that will be made, that they will still adhere to the non-priority service standards....   :-\\\\

I will also be in Glasgow as soon as I am approved (fingers crossed)!

Hopefully soon! I’ve been here for the past week with my husband and his family. It’s so nice to be back in my fav city!

Feel free to send me a DM if you want to meet up after you arrive. :)

Congrats to all who got approved over the holiday weekend! Today I woke up to realized that my gmail account was "full" and I wasn't receiving emails. Talk about stress. I just purchased additional space and a few emails are filtering in from the last few days. My only worry is that there is the tiny chance we got the "more documents" email. Where can I email to check if they tried to send something to me and it got bounced back to them?

I saw a couple people who's docs were delivered the same day as yours received their decision made email on Monday and their docs will be delivered today. Have you tried checking your UPS Return tracking label just on the off chance that your packet is on the way back to you and the email tried to come through Monday?

Congrats to all of the new decision made emails! We finally created our online account and started going through the application. Not submitting until March 1st, but knew we would have some questions. Also, submitted for the TOR document and they turned that puppy around in 24hours. I was shocked lol

I've really been struggling the last few days. I've been seeing people in other groups who's application and docs were on the same exact timeline as mine get their decisions back already. It's breaking me down  :\\\'(

There are a lot of positives about sharing the ride with others, but this is one of the negative aspects.

If it helps any, we were always last., but got there in the end, every time!  You will too!  :)

Me too...I literally expressed this to my husband yesterday, or the ones that applied after me. ...and here I am watching the clock and about to be sulking for the rest of the day.
