Biometrics were January 13th so I'm assuming today counts as either WD 17 or 18.

Heading back to Houston this Friday to see wife and baby for a week.  Hoping for good news whilst I'm with them (if not before)!

@JBinAberdeen My heart breaks for you guys! that's suchhhhh a long wait.  I'm not exactly sure when to start counting?! Is it from the biometrics appointment or when I got the email they had received everything? If we count from biometrics appt, today is WD 17.  I'm feeling very nervous- My husband and I keep playing "what if it gets rejected" and mentally preparing for worst case scenario ...although that's probably premature haha it's just so hard being in this limbo phase, which we've kind of been in since last June while we've been figuring our lives out.

You know, it wouldn't be the first time that that has happened, the couple getting the news while the UK is on a visit to the US!  And this is the quiet time so, with even a little bit of luck...

AAAAHHHHHHHH! My wife just facetimed me to say she received this a couple of hours ago - decision made email!!!

"Dear

Regarding Visa Application:

For:

A decision has been made on your UK Visa application.

If you applied via a US Dept. of Homeland Security Application Support Centre or a VFS Premium Application Centre and chose to have your passport mailed back to you directly, that will take place shortly.

If you submitted your application via a VFS Premium Application Centre and chose to collect your passport in person at the end of the process, they will be in contact with you to provide further guidance.

If anyone contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, they cannot - please report any such approach to VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gov.uk.

You should not expect to receive any further emails from this office.

Regards

Sheffield Visa Section"

We elected to keep my wife's passport.  Any idea how quickly VFS are likely to be in touch?

Last time we received this email a rejection letter was attached.  No attachment this time - can I be excited?

Any ideas whether their is a limited window to bring the passport in to have the VISA stamped in?  I arrive into Houston tomorrow and we are going away for a week on holiday together.  I don't want to miss our chance to pick this thing up.
