Thanks, Honolulubeachbunny.  Birthday month really kicks off Saturday afternoon... the last week of the month is birthday week, and my husband takes the week off so we can do fun stuff (he takes his own birthday week off, too... and that's also when our anniversary falls, so double celebration!).  He's awesome, and life is awesome!  Wheeeee!

About two years ago (really?), ksand24 shared a link to an indie film someone she knew (cousin? Cousin's friend?  Friend's cousin?) was creating and said she would appreciate it if anybody supported their crowdfunding campaign.  I did, because the genre is one that appeals to me, and because it felt good to help out even a little bit.

Today I received a limited-time link to stream the film as a reward for my support.  And it's just in time for Birthday Week (the link is valid up to and including my birthday... like it was meant to be)!

I haven't watched it yet, but I am optimistic, having seen trailers during production.  Yay!

The film's website: http://auggiemovie.com/
(This is not a place to view the film.  This link is where you can learn more about the film and how to watch it.  My supporter link is different and password-protected.)

Ah, yes - I got the email about the movie link a couple of days ago and haven’t had a chance to reply to it yet!

The movie was made by one of my brother’s best friends from primary school (the family are good friends of ours)  :).

Do they have warnings up so that people at least have some notice it can happen? That's kinda crazy! I don't think I'd be happy wading in the Thames River, its always seemed quite dirty to me. (correct me if I'm wrong)

My LMH - one of the expats who lives nearby is hiring a junior role, and asked me to apply for the job. Can't say if it will lead to me getting the job or not, but it really made me feel a lot better after a rough few weeks. And tomorrow is our 3 year anniversary, 2nd with me as a resident. :)

Good luck!! Hope it goes well. Happy anniversary!

Thank you!!

Weekend of birthday (in two weeks)  a nice dinner with my husband. Then at the end of October, we're spending a long weekend in Amsterdam. Mega looking forward to that! I've been once before and really wanted to go back. It's so beautiful. Also, I need a break from work ()

Birthdays are always so exciting

Oooh, by celebrating at your birthday and then the trip at the end of October, you'll have Birthday Month, too!  Yay!  Happy birthday month when it gets here!

Today's the 1 year anniversary of my gastric bypass surgery in Jan Portaels hospital, Brussels.  I was just reflecting on all the changes that have happened in my life over the past year... I have lost 10 stone, gained my health and mobility back again, moved out of a housing situation that was dragging me down, and got my longed-for hound.  Probably a lot of other things too, but these are the ones that immediately come to mind and are bringing me a little moment of happiness today!  :D
