Thanks to PB's comment about wild camping in Scotland, we started investigating.

We have hired a campervan for 2 weeks in August to drive around the UK (Ive been all around the world but hardly anywhere in the UK)!  As everything else is off the table.  This way we don't have to worry about toilets, beds in hotels, eating out, being in crowds, flying, etc.  We can just go whereever whenever!

It's exciting!  Thanks for the idea PB.  Going to try to see lots of places we've both been meaning to see for our lifetimes.  While we celebrate my 39th birthday - the sequel!

Awesome! You'll have the best time!   :D

If you find yourselves anywhere near Glasgow/Helensburgh/Loch Lomond... get in touch!!   ;D

What about the protests at border yesterday with the signs that said something like "Piss of you plague carriers"

Last 2 weeks in August.  I suspect things will have settled by then.

I will keep you guys posted as we plan our itinerary. Would be lovely to meet!

Bonus:  we are bring Sobe.  That’s right, our cat is coming with us!  He will stay in the RV.  ;D

A couple friends of mine moved into a refurbished bus with their *5* cats, and the cats are actually OK with it because they built in some cat runs and lots of shelves for them around it. I'm sure Sobe will enjoy the vacation with you!

That trip sounds like a blast!  You should go to Dungeness , your kids will love the railway and the lighthouse.  And the sandy beach.

Argyll - It's lovely near Kilmartin and you can see the standing stones, cairns, and climb Dunad. There are some nice woodland walks out there, too. The scenery on the way, at places like Rest and Be Thankful, is just stunning.  ;D

I’ve decided they’re a myth....like the jackalope. Been here 3 1/2 years.....not seen a single one!

We had 2 last summer. This one is back and much bigger. We leave food out for him most nights. Tonight he has a fresh carrot harvested today.

I think badgers are a myth. Only seen one on the side of the road....  he was no longer with us.

Friends of mine renamed a sh*t posting type Facebook group I'm in to Badger Watch UK, and some poor chap came in actually posting concerned about a badger in his area.

They are definitely real, but not nearly as common as hedgehogs where we are!
