A colleague - who has taken less than I have - has calculated that she now has 75 liters of Fanta.  LOL.  All because it has Halloween branding.  Definitely a perk of the job!

KoD liked that because she is getting UKY email notifications, too... even if they do give her a little rush of adrenaline followed closely by disappointment, while she waits for The Email.

You guys know that Fanta was invented by the Nazis during WWII.  They couldn't get coke syrup anymore so they invented Fanta.

So it was.  Plenty of other Nazi inventions also made it out of Germany after the war.  Most military. And somethings like much improved reel to reel recording (which modernised music making). And tons of brain power exported to the US for the space race.

Pick a war, you'll find technology and invention.   War brings necessity invention and technological advances and drives world economies like no other.  War also brings out atrocities, crimes, poverty, migration, famine, environmental damage and the worst in mankind, like no other either.

Ever wondered what happens to a hersheys kiss if you take it from Pennyslvannia to Australia, then India, then to the UK, then give it to the office American?

I'll eat it though. Got a whole bag of them.

I've already picked out the little square things with toffee inside.  What are those things called?

At work today:

Me:  "I'm looking forward to trying the new Diet Coke Strawberry when it launches."
Co-worker:  "Um, no.  I'm looking forward to the new Fanta flavor"
Me - Looks on system, "FANTA GRAPE IS NOT NEW."
Him: "Yes, it is"

GRRRRRRRR

We had an exciting discovery at the weekend - WE FOUND THE REMOTE FOR THE FIREPLACE!

You may recall that we couldn’t find it and can’t turn the fireplace on without it.  And had to pay £250 for a new remote and to have it paired.  At least we have a (useless) spare now!  And we finally know what happened to it.   :D

Holy Smokes!  £250 for a remote control?  Did that come with headlight fluid and some extra sparks for your angle grinder?

Did you try using a universal remote?

£80 for the remote, the rest was for a certified gas engineer to pair it to the fireplace (have to take all the guts out).  Trust us, we tore the house apart.  And it's a weird remote that you can only get from the manufacturer.  I was VERY annoyed when I realised we cannot use the fire without it. Surely there should be another way?  But there isn't.

Margo, it had fallen into a box with shower parts for the rental house that had been moved to the garage.  We were just glad to find it and know the baby hadn't thrown it away!

Fanta Grape is not new here. I've seen it in lots of places here for awhile now but I don't drink it because I don't drink sugar soda.
