Yeah it seems like June/July is the busiest months to apply. Fingers crossed it's slowed down a bit!

I wonder if that has anything to do with all those June weddings.

Guys!! I just woke up for the last time as a US resident!!! I fly home in 7 hours ♡♡♡♡

5-1/2 hours now!  Yay!
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

I believe that's from the May processing times published on the UKVI website, which say:
- 2% decided in 3 working days
- 60% decided in 5 working days
- 72% decided in 10 working days
- 78% decided in 15 working days
- 85% decided in 30 working days
- 98% decided in 60 working days
- 100% decided in 90 working days

However, those times (2, 3 5, 10 and 15 days) seem very suspect, since almost everyone on this forum who has applied priority in the last 6 months has experienced processing times of at least 30 working days and I don't think I've seen anyone get their settlement visa in 15 working days or less since January 2018 (and that was only a couple of people). Before that they hadn't been processed that quickly since February 2017.

That's good to know! I think I'm just going to bank on hearing back around 30 days or so :)

Honestly, it's best not to bank on anything. If you get it in 30 days, fabulous, but there's a good chance that it'll take longer than that and it'll just make things harder at that point.

She's right... I banked on 30 days because thats what my solicitor told me and when we didn't hear anything back my heart was broken. And I started getting the what ifs and doubts that something was wrong with my application.  Just be patient and keep busy...It will come. and we are here for you.

I'm sure that feeling was awful. Will do. Thanks for the pep talk :) :)

The thing that got me is that the difference between 30 and 40 BD doesn't sound like much, but when you realize it skips weekends, and 10 BD is really like a week and a half its AWFUL!

TeamTollie and I have been talking (uh oh!), and we have made some very tentative/loose plans, and now we'd like to open it up to the rest of this Blizzard.  We don't know where everybody will be, but from what we do know, we came up with this really rough map:

We would like to propose a meetup at the end of September.  This should give people just getting their decision made emails time to get their visas and get over here and settle in a bit.  Plus, it's my birthday week, so my husband will be off work! ;)

Based on our map, we decided on Bristol for the location, which should give us plenty of options for a venue, and it appears to be fairly accessible and centrally located (for the non-Scottish contingent, at least... please come down if you're interested!) for the Welsh and English contingents.

Summary:

When:  September 29th (or we can consider different dates if this is a problem for someone who really wants to be there)
Where:  Somewhere in Bristol (tbd)
Who:  UKY members, and spouses/families if they want to join in

I'm not part of the blizzard but might be able to make it if I'm allowed! I moved to Southampton on my visa mid June :)

I will keep a look out for details! My family mayyyy be in town that weekend because the Seattle Seahawks play the following week and theyre potentially using it as an excuse to visit, but I'm putting it on my calendar!
