I'm in Oklahoma so I had to book a flight to Chicago on American,  then a separate flight on Norwegian. My AA flight is delayed due to mechanical issues so I will miss my connection. And since they are separate flights no one wants to help. So I either spend 24 hours in Chicago and pay a big change fee, hotel, etc or I pay for a midnight flight tonight- will work out to about the same but flying Wow airlines tonight get a me home a day earlier.

because they are having mechanical issues you have to pay? Wow....I am sorry you are having to go through that hassle...I hope all gets worked out and you get home soon.

Well I had to buy another flight but I will make it home tomorrow - only 9 hours later than originally scheduled!
