You guys!  My APPROVAL arrived today in the post!  I'll phone tomorrow to see about booking a ceremony... It's perfect because my FIL just asked us about our plans for Christmas, so it's possible we can go to Bristol to have my ceremony and Christmas dinner in one trip!  And, what a Christmas!  Ahhhhhhhhhh!  Soooo happy!

My NDRS+JCAP was October 24th (online application submitted the day before, on the 23rd) and biometrics submitted on October 27th.  My invitation/approval letter is dated November 22 and arrived today.  :)

ETA: I have to wait 'til tomorrow to book my ceremony because my husband is off today, and he doesn't know what days he's off next month, so we'll have to get that information when he goes in to work.

This is AWESOME!!!  [smiley=hug.gif]  I am sooo happy for you!   [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif]

Thank you, larrabee!  And thank you so much for all of your virtual prodding and encouragement.  I wouldn't be sitting here with an approval next to me right now without your urging me along.  :)

Unless they change their minds, the UK passport will start being blue in October 2019.

Wooo! There's a chance then that I could have a red passport if Everything gets approved for me in a timely manner and I submit things on time,
My, how time flies....

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019

Based on your timeline, if you get right on citizenship as soon as you have your ILR (and don't wait 5 months between applications like I did!), you should be good for a red passport.  You're applying for ILR in January, right?

My ceremony is December 14th in Bristol!  I opted for an individual ceremony because the earliest group one isn't until January 17th, and I want to do it now!  So in two weeks, I will become a dual citizen!  Wheeeeee!

I never knew I wanted a red passport until they announced that the UK is switching back to blue, and then I wanted it more than anything else in the world.

I know... I'm sitting here, all, "Two weeks is so far awaaaaayyyyy!"  I'm definitely doing the right thing paying for the earlier individual ceremony.  I couldn't handle a 6-week wait 'til the next group one.
