I'm a native californian, and never could figure out what the deal was with in-n-out. I ate there a couple times, and wasn't that impressed. I think I miss Arby's more. And for Burgers I used to love Jack in the Box because of their special sauce. And Del Taco didn't do a bad burger either, but this is just my opinion! ;)

I like Jack in the box!!  They have great taco, burger, well just lots of things.

years ago, I actually figured out their secret sauce recipe, and tried it out on my parents, who are both big fans of it as well, they say it was right on the money. Now, I don't think I have the recipe still, but remember basically what I used. Have to try it again sometime. My mom might have it, I gave it to her, but that was years ago. However, she rarely throws anything away. ;D

I don't 'miss' In N Out, per se, but I do love it and make sure I indulge when I'm home.

I think it's the idea that it's all 'fresh, natural ingredients' that we brainwash ourselves into thinking it's 'healthier' than other fast foods.
Because the fries (FRIES) are made from real potatoes, though, once they go cold, yer SCRE*ED. ;)

I'm not a huge fan of In N Out. The burgers are okay, but fries are bland and boring. In L.A., my favorite burger is Carney's. There 2 of them and they are in old train cars, one on Sunset Blvd and one on Ventura Blvd. They put fresh hot house tomatoes on the burgers and the chili fries are so yum. It is often my first stop on my way home from the airport.

Yeah so what is the difference between UK and US popcorn???? I always find UK salty to be practically inedible due to the salt content. I always like to ask for it mixed with the sweet, but nine times out of ten, they never remember.

To me, it's just stale.  It's made way in advance, then stuck in a bunch of bags, or a big bin, and just sits there, for god knows how long.
Even at one of the biggest theatres in London, I thought, yes, I'll get NICE popcorn here... when I asked, they pointed towards what looked like an old fridge at the side (it wasn't cold, but had shelves and a clear door, hence my comparison), full of popcorn bags.  I was just supposed to grab one for myself.  It tasted like it'd been there for hours.

Yeah our Showcase has one of those fridge things with the different sizes of popcorn in it. Its GROSS! You HAVE to have the full effect when you go to the movies. The smell of freshly popped popcorn with tons of salt and butter on it. Here they put sugar on it!   :o
Im going to the movies tonight. Ill think Ill have ice cream and M&M's.
