This should not even be my IA, but my BF refuses to do anything about a seriously ingrown hair on his cheek. A blotch of his skin is completely inflamed and I kept telling him to do something about it, only to have him say "oh, it's just a spot, leave it alone". It's not just a spot if you can see a big black hair stuck in it! Ugh. So now that he's accepted he has an ingrown hair, he claims he can't do anything about it and won't let me touch it. It would take two seconds with a tweezer, but he's being such a baby saying "it will hurt" or "it will break the skin". I am so not going to put up with his complaints when it really becomes embedded in his cheek and causes an infection. He is such a wimp sometimes.

Oh, I would so be pulling out the tweezers and getting that sucker in his sleep!

Hahaha! I threatened to do that last night so he gave in and let me have at it. Despite him claiming it was impossible to get out (apparently he had tried twice), it took me three seconds and he didn't even feel a thing. Perhaps in the future he'll listen to me the first time! Ahhh men. ::)

First, the JobCentre messed up the spelling of my last name on my letter with my NI number.

I received the new one today, and now the spelling is correct but they have swapped my middle and last names.  ::)

Blaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!  Obviously, no one actually looked at my application or my copy of my passport, which is actually both amazing and disconcerting at the same time!

Hopefully 3rd time is the charm.

I can't wait to see which variation the card has whenever that comes.

Hahaha! That is just brilliantly pathetic on their part.

I've had issues with my surname since moving to the UK, which is shocking since it's so common (Davis). I actually have to spell it out for people otherwise I end up with the Welsh spelling, 'Davies'. I'm contemplating just changing the spelling of my surname, lol.

Perhaps you should just change your name on everything else to match the NI card; it might turn out to be easier for you. :P

DH phoned to say that the gas people arrived to do our house at 8:30 instead of 9:30 and the people over the road are having their driveway re-surfaced so truckloads of tarmac arrived at 7:30 AM. DS is sleeping through it all.  ;D

people who stand at the very front (and on both sides) of the bus instead of moving down the aisle to allow people to get on or off and then have the nerve to get an attitude with you when you step on their feet trying to push past them.

And the stabbing throbbing burning pain between my shoulder blades.

Stupid uncertain, changeable weather this time of year.  Had to work yesterday & today - wasn't sure whether to hang the wet laundry out or not.  It didn't rain either day.  Got home to hang some out tonight, cos I'm going on second day wet jeans hanging up in the house.  It's not terribly warm out right now, but it's really not cool enough to put on the heat.  I have to get a pair of DH's trousers dry for him to wear to work tomorrow - get them out on the clothesline.  And then it starts to rain.

 [smiley=bomb.gif]

I turned on the heat, even though it's not cold - so I can get his trousers dry.  Argh!  He'll wonder why it's so hot in here when he gets home & why I have the heat on.

I haven't read through all 1,800 odd pages (YIKES) but I just want to say, I'm so tired of what my FIL calls "the Great Unwashed" on the bus.

I was on the bus today and someone got on who smelled of pee-pee. Then someone got in guzzling some larger, which also smelled. Ughhhh.  :-X

For a lot of the huge threads going back years and hundreds or thousands of posts I just read the last couple of months :) The nice thing about IAs is that they tend to blow over - Phatbeetle's previous landlady excepted  >:(

Was originally scheduled to work 12:30-6:30 tomorrow, which had me saying, "YAY! A lie in!!!! In the middle of the week!!!!" But, got asked to work from 8-6pm instead. The girl who's shift it was, is sick. I know, I know, I shouldn't myther, because more work, more money. I just wanted a lie in! Oh well, September will just have a really brilliant pay packet. And I've got next Thursday off. Watch this space, though! :D
