Few today...

Still not feeling well, and getting very tired of having an upset tummy. :(

The subcontractors I've been in charge of herding/babysitting/etc have "finished" their work and it's crap. Joy.

I am in serious need of new work clothes - mine are getting all ratty and tatty and I really need some new ones because I have to meet with suppliers on a regular basis now and I have to look decent to represent the company

1.) I hate clothes shopping. I'm fat and awkward and nothing fits right. Especially in the UK- I cannot find clothes I like here.
2.) I have no money for new work clothes- plus sized clothes are expensive!!!
I've never gotten food on my underpants!
Work permit (2007) to British Citizen (2014)

Thanks! I don't know if I wish I'd get worse (to warrant seeing a GP) or better (which seems doubtful).

I have a daily injection, which can sometimes be really painful. Not the needle, but the medicine itself. It can burn and sting very badly. Last night, it was fine. No stinging! And afterwards, I was laying there, when all of a sudden it started to sting so bad. So I said 'help, what's wrong??' and dh flicked my arm. Apparently there was an earwig on me? I didn't think they could sting or bite. But I felt gross for the rest of the night and have been keeping my arms covered up since...  :-\\\\ This is a new flat and it was in a state when we moved in. Who knows what else could be crawling around?
Euuw. DS has been complaining about earwigs in the basement. I thought they were harmless too.

equestrianerd, I had a 'stomach bug' that wouldn't go away for 10 days- eventually I ended up so dehydrated I went to hospital, where it turned out I actually had inflammatory bowel disease! Might be work asking for a blood test.

That was the bane of my life when I had a job which needed proper suits, I used to buy two or three a year at Anna Scholz and just alternate tops and wear the jackets with dresses etc. I had a whole capsule wardrobe thing, gok wan would have been proud, but it did cost a fortune, I'm so happy my job doesn't need anything more fancy than old hoodies and jeans. I gave those old suits to oxfam

Here's some things you might want to consider

H&M's BiB is now online, beware! You may need to size up as they run small, but you can get some nice trousers for like £12 and a variety of tops.

La Redoute has a cheap plus size - http://www.laredoute.co.uk/shop/plus-size-women-tops.htm

ASOS curve have got a big sale on with some nice work pieces

- £7 pencil skirt
 http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Curve-Linen-Workwear-Skirt/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1040832&cid=10528&sh=0&pge=4&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Black

- £9 ruffle blouse - http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Curve-Ruffle-Front-Shirt/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1223004&cid=10528&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Navy

- £12 pencil dress - http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Curve-Tailored-Long-Sleeve-Frill-Front-Pencil-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1172802&cid=10528&sh=0&pge=1&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Black

All that stuff is kinda basic but you could jazz it up with belts, bags, scarves and jewllery, like I wear that pencil dress with a leopard print cropped cardie fishnets and pink pointy ballet flats and feel quite va va voom :)

Lost the job I thought I had... they aren't allowed to take anyone else on since part of the company has been making people redundant.  :-[

Then after I found that out, I had to go back to hospital for yet another aspiration.  :\\\'( But, I guess the good and bad news is that he says it will be the last one. If it doesn't clear up by next Thursday, he is going to schedule a surgery instead, which he says takes about a month recovery time with daily trips to my local surgery for packing and dressing.  :-\\\\

We're having a bad turn at the moment, but it could always be worse. I try to never forget that while I sit in the breast clinic (nearly every week for the last two months), realising that some women are facing much more difficult and life threatening situations.  :-\\\\ Thanks for the offer of help, but we are actually okay, all things considered.  :-*

Oh no. :( I hope you find something else soon, and the aspiration clears things up so you don't need surgery!

I don't care about my home town, or anything that happens there, I don't want to join groups bemoaning the burning down of our pier, or memorial pages for teachers I hated, I don't want to talk about my parents or add people I went to school with whom I barely remember to my friends list.

I spend half my time trying to forget everything that happened in that town, stop trying to remind me and stop looking back, the past is another country to me, one I'm glad I don't have a ticket for.
