My incompetent temp agency strikes again!  They double booked the shifts I had this week so now I don't get to work!  ::)

This was sushi night right? Why was it so bad? You were so excited!!! So sorry, as I hate when people are moody and you are excited it does blow the night ;-(
No, that was friday and it was fab! So when his mum suggested going out on sunday, since she wasn't cooking, I was excited. Things have been so great with them lately, so it sounded fun. But the reason we went out instead of cooking was that his family was out all night. They have a paranormal investigation group (which is awesome) and were doing that until about 7am. So they slept really late. Apparently just not late enough... I got home and I was just filled with tension and irritation and had to just go do my own thing to avoid snapping at hubby. I remember why I hated staying with them! This is how they were half the time. Just constant arguing and negative comments....... Anyway, rant over. :-p I'm just going to avoid going anywhere with them for a while...
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

I suddenly feel absolutely horrid! Blech! My chest hurts, my stomach feels sick, and my eyes are all dry and itchy. Not exactly what I need with several more interviews this week and the hope of starting work ASAP.  >:( >:( >:(

Someone who very dramatically stopped being my friend when I had cancer "We're supposed to be going out and having fun, she's sick all the time and gets ALL the attention from everybody, can't she live somewhere else?!" has come sniffing around on Facebook as she wants to get into games and be friends again.

Quote

I wake up every evening
With a big smile on my face
And it never feels out of place
And you're still probably working
At a 9-to-5 pace
I wonder how bad that tastes

When you see my face
Hope it gives you hell

I'm so frackin' bored at work today. We're in waiting mode... nothing to do but faff around until the applications start rolling in.  *yawn*
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Went to the grocery store to get salmon for dinner. No salmon. Was going to pick up some frozen peas. No frozen peas. Thought about making green bean casserole. No jars of green beans. No wonder I'm always amazed when I go to the grocery store in the US. The shelves are never bare!

Been there, done that with reporting an employer to OSHA. Oddly enough, it was related to metals as well. But, my previous employer was mixing chemicals into the metals to make it easier to cut. After an entire month of swollen tonsils that antibiotics couldn't help, my doctor asked them what chemicals were they using and they refused to answer. It was then that my doctor and I both reported them. They were fined heavily. They didn't have a Material Handling book so I still don't know what I was exposed to.

DH is "back to work," yet he doesn't know if he is being paid for this week or not and apparently the sale of the business is going through, but hasn't exactly gone through yet, if you know what I mean. His boss is guaranteeing that things will work out and he just needs a hand with some cleaning while the paperwork is being processed, so DH has been working like crazy for the last few days to help out, without knowing if he will be paid. I understand that he doesn't feel he can say no and miss the opportunity of getting a job there again, but I'm afraid he will be putting in all this effort for nothing and get disappointed. He says he would just be sitting around the house regardless, so he has nothing to lose. I hope it works out for him.  :-\\\\
