Does anyone know where in SE England I can get some Black Beans?

I'm in northern England, but they have (dried) black beans at Sainsburys -- and Sainsburys is pretty much everywhere, I think.  (I think I may have also found them at Morrisons but that's a northern grocery chain.)

We have Morrisons down here too.  I'll check it out

If I don't have to order anything online, I'd be very much appreciative.

Does anyone know where in SE England I can get some Black Beans?  As a native Texan, I miss these terribly, and I have been unable to find them in Marks and Spencer, Asda, Tesco, and Waitrose.  Does anyone at all know?

You can get dried ones at any health food shop.  I've noticed some place call them turtle beans.   ;)

Ok -- well I'm 100% certain of finding them at Sainsburys, not as sure about Morrisons (they tend to be inconsistent) -- but it's worth a look if you're close to one.

Those of you jonesing for Jones Sodas can find select flavors at Absolutely Starving, a nice little foodstore in the London Bridge area.

I've seen black beans at Borough Market. But you can always buy the canned black beans, which I've seen at Sainsbury's in Angel Islington.

I've never noticed a difference between UK or US Hellman's Mayonnaise.

BUT there is definately a taste difference between U.S. Coke and Coke in the UK, or anywhere else in the world for that matter. The reason is that US Coke is made with corn syrup; international coke is made with sugar. I much prefer the international sugar coke, which is actually slightly less-sweet than US coke.

The other thing here that's strange are El Paso Mexican food products. Nothing tastes the same to me, especially their corn tortillas (which are actually only 40% corn and 60% flour).  The enchilada sauces all taste different too. This stuff here is made in BELGIUM!  What do the Belgians know about Mexican food?   :o)

The other thing that's hard to find here is French's American yellow mustard (they do stock it now in our local Sainsburys). Most of the mayo here is spicy English mustard I can't stand. Hamburger Union only serves their burgers with French's. Woo hoo! (Incidentally, this is the absolute best burger I've had in London).

Really? That's very good to know. I can't always get it together to soak and cook dried beans but I've never seen canned black beans here! For convenience's sake, I would actually make a trip to Angel to get some!  :D

I never have any problems finding french's yellow mustard. They even stock it in the little shops. Thank god because I'm not fond of english mustard.

Just happened to find this today and thought I would pass it along.  Just started looking at it myself but have so far found Martha White and Jiffy muffin mixes, Saltines, Gold Fish Crackers and much more -- ah, sniff

It's been mentioned before!

Hope you don't mind me merging it in here!

Just went to Selfridge's in Manchester and Trafford centre and found some American goodies. Although quite pricey.
Aunt Jemima's syrup, pancake mix, cornbread mix. Grape Jelly. Brownie Mix, Betty Crocker cake mixes, frosting.
Even Oreo cookies. Just be prepared to spend.

Just found Pepperidge Farms Goldfish (salt & vinegar & original) in Tescos last night...in the popcorn isle - on the top of the shelf.  May have been around a while - not sure as my Tescos is pretty small - but I've only just noticed them! Yay!

I noticed Goldfish a few months ago at our Tesco.  They also have Pepperidge Farms big chunk cookies too!  I haven't bought them, but they do make me think of home whenever I walk by. :)
