Those look gorgeous, CB! I was planning on baking a red velvet cake for Christmas Eve, and then doing a maple cheesecake for Christmas day pudding (we were going to DSS's mum's house for xmas eve, so I was planning to leave the red velvet cake with her.) But with the road conditions, and more snow coming down, I'm now trying to decide between the two, as I don't think I should make both for just us.

I've got all the ingredients for both already. Decisions, decisions! I think the red velvet cake would look more festive (and DH has never had one, so it would be different) but we both love cheesecake and we both love maple syrup. Hmmm.
