It was quite incredible!  I've never actually watched competitive badminton before, but this was FIERCE.  Better than tennis, in my opinion.  Emms and Robertson did an absolutely FANTASTIC job against the Chinese crowd BOOING at them and holding off a very strong Chinese team.  I can't wait to see them play again!

Badminton is really fun to watch - once you get past the speed of the game :P. If you take your eyes off it for even a second, you lose track of the score, lol. I notice that the BBC iplayer site has another badminton video up, which I'm definitely going to watch later :)

I am loving the Olympics but am not loving that I've been up at 3.10am two mornings in a row!

Isnt the medals table in the US indicated by total number and not total gold?

Yeah, I think so. That threw me a bit.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Does the US have a men's hockey team?  Wondering where the men in the US would learn to play, considering in the US its a traditional woman's sport.  I know elsewhere in the world it isn't, but in the states it is.

Do you mean field hockey? Hockey is a winter sport and kind of confused me. I don't think I've ever heard of a men's field hockey team.

Yes field hockey.  That's why I was asking the question, because I didn't know if the US men had a hockey team.  But through the power of google, I have deduced that there is indeed a US men's field hockey team.

What's up with the tennis? Federer is out beaten by James Blake! And now Venus is about to be beaten by the Chinese player Li Na!

I have completely lost my Olympic mojo.  Haven't watched more than five minutes in the last four days.  I blame NBC's craptastic coverage.

Oh, and, YES, I get that Michael Phelps is a damn good swimmer.  I do.  Yay him.  Go him.  Now would you please show someone else?  I swear, they're going to start making every American athlete wear a freakin' Michael Phelps mask, that way he can win ALL the stupid medals.

Very disgruntled today.  >:(

I'm feeling the same way. I was hoping for Phelps to do well, but now I just want someone to beat him! It really annoyed me when they were talking about Lezak winning the relay for the Americans being a large part of Michael Phelps's history.

W.T.F?!!? How about him being a part of Jason Lezak's history?! It also annoyed me when they said that Natalie Coughlin was the best natural talent American swimmer, even better than Michael Phelps. So why all the attention to Phelps then?

It annoys me even more when they cut out men's all-around finals in gymnasics to show semi-finals just because they had Phelps in them.
