We need to set the rules for this thread, don't we? Who's watching on Sunday morning rather than Saturday night? Are we OK to talk results right away or do some people need us to hide comments behind the spoiler avoidance do-dads?

I don't know. I recorded it and didn't watch it until this morning, so I just avoided this thread until after I knew the results.

I think it's easy enough for people to avoid the thread till they have seen the show.  So talking about it Sat night seems fair.

I usually don't watch till the next day, and just avoid looking till I do. (Unless I want to know that is)

I'm really liking all of the girls and most of the women.

I don't watch it until the next day, so I avoid this thread until I've seen it. That's one reason I never click on the 'view all new posts' thingy at the bottom of the forum...so that I don't see anything I don't want to see. :P

I also love Diana, she's like a breath of fresh air. She's so adorable!

I didn't see all of it tonight. FIL asserted his rights over the TV! Diana was pretty good again. Rachel chose a bad song. And I DO NOT get the judges love of that little boy Eowan or however his name is spelled. B.O.R.I.N.G.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Could easily have lived with either choice. But happy to see Girlband out. Loving Diana. And... don't hate me... Austin.  ;D

Me too, but this is the only place I can say that since he's from this neck of the woods.

I was happy about Girlband going, I thought Ruth was much better.

Now that they're out, I really like all of the other acts (except Eoghan).  I don't have a favorite yet.

Don't like Eoghan too, don't understand what's so special about him, he sounds like a kid in a karoke, nothing amazing.

And thank god GirlBand are out, they are like a bunch of shrieking cats thrown into a wood fire - very painful to listen to!

Didn't like like Austin until last night - loved his version of Billie Jean!  Amazing...

I'm not sure about Diana - if you ask me she sounds just like the Cranberries

I like Eoghan! He's not my favourite, but I do like him. And I like pronouncing his name the way it looks ... try it! It's fun! And it might make you like him more! Eeee-ogg-han!

I still love Diana the most, but Ruth is a close second so I was shocked that she was in the bottom two. I don't get that at all. And I really don't get why Simon didn't vote to keep her in - Girl Bland was totally off-key from start to finish. Surely he heard that.  ???

Austin is OK, but I didn't like his derivative Billie Jean. He needs to do something a bit fresher. I hate to say it, but Louis was right about that one.

My least favourites I think are Rachel, Daniel and Laura. I really don't like of them, particularly Laura. Her voice makes me want to throttle her.

Here's my ranking of my favourites in order of most to least:

1.   Diana
2.   Ruth
3.   Austin
4.   Alexandra
5.   Eoghan
6.   Scott
7.   JLS
8.   Rachel
9.   Daniel
10.  Laura

Eoghan should be in some singing contest for kids!

Have to say I agree with Simon nearly every time, he was right when he said that Alex was playing it safe with the Whitney and Mariah thingie, and again when Austin was the artiste who stepped out of his comfort zone and made a song his own.  He was also definitely most right when he said Cheryl was pitchy!  SHe can't sing for nuts and was hideously off key during the Girls Aloud performance - poor Nadine - she was clearly the only real singer in the group!  The rest might as well be her backing vocals!

Though I have to say Cheryl's very very very pretty!

I cannot stand Rachel.  the rest of them I'm not so bothered about although I do like JLS because they look like they're always having a blast.  And they're good too.

Love Diana hope she wins, she is so different from anybody else.  Don't understand why Daniel is still in, I suppose he is getting the sympathy vote.
I really think they should have votes Louie Walsh off, he is just so childish and annoying.  When asked how he felt about Girl Band being voted off he started spouting off that at least he knew the names of the girls in the band whereas Simon didn't know anybodys name.  What did that have to do with anything, especially since Simon didn't vote to send them home.  Louie is just a big baby and I don't know why he keeps getting back on the show, entertainment value I guess.

I want Ruth to win, she is great!!!

Diana's voice gets on my nerves, sounds like she has a cold!!!

Also, who is that guy who did the acoustic Billie Jean? Not noticed him before but I quite liked that. Simon Cowell is a plonker though when he bleated that he'd copied someone on American Idol who did the same version. Actually, Simon, Neil Finn did it before both of them!!!!!!

I am glad those ghastly girl groups have gone, they were both awful.
