IA: Oy, well Moray council really messed up their ploughing and created a large hole and divot into the road that filled up with ice and water and snow- well we ended up plowing the civic into the hole in the road,as we didn't realise it was there as it only looked like like a tiny puddle- we ended up hitting over 2 feet off ice and snow and completely and utterly smashing the undercarriage and smashing my radiator, losing all the antifreeze, smashing the front end, and I smashed my knee into the dashboard- and then we got stuck in the snow just after it. My bonnet is all messed up.

UP: However, I am completely and utterly amazed at the kindness and compassion of complete strangers. This farmer came to the rescue, calling his neighbours in this rural town and they all pulled us out and this farmer gave us cups of coffee and let us use his phone and everything. The farmer had called the council 4 times this week, once today, to the council, about the hole this week as one of his neighbours had almost flipped his car when hitting it.
IA: We had to get the car towed back 60 miles to Inverness- as there wasn't anywhere that could do the bodywork out that way. Goodness knows what this will all cost me in the end. We found a nice Christmas basket to send to this farmer, except John Lewis doesn't even recognise the postcode- roll eyes.
UP: We didn't flip the car and we're alive to tell the tale
