Thank you all.  :)
I'm playing the game with the insurance company now  ::)

Glad you're ok PB...good luck with the insurance co...it took us 9 months to finally get all ours sorted from when DH was hit by another driver last year, in fact it will be exactly 1 year tomorrow that the accident happened!

Sorry to hear that - how crazy, PB - but glad you're okay!
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

Glad your ok PB.   ;D  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

I thought I had better calm & get some much needed rest down before I posted this is why its a few days late.

IA. Dh & I were supposed to fly out of Fort Wayne to Chicago on Sat morn at 11:15 am but before we even got out of bed 6:30am our flights had been canceled cause of the bad weather in Chicago. we had been rebooked on a later flight but we weren't in seats together & we were in the middle of the plane as well we hate those seats. ::)  :P  we usually pick our own seats which are window & aisle seats there & back.  ;)  :)

UP. Since we had been booked on our later flights while we were at the check-in desk we asked if we could possibly get different seats & seats together as well. we ended up getting bulkhead seats just behind business seats Yeah we had never before had bulkhead seats we loved our seats!!  ;D  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

IA. When we finally got to Chicago it looked like it had barely even snowed if snowed at all grrr!!  >:(  ::)

UP. We got to spend extra time with my family cause of the cancellations & rescheduled flights & my sister made biscuits & gravy for brunch since we didn't have to leave so early to catch our flight!!  ;D  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

IA. I have serious case of jet lag grrr!!  [smiley=sleeping2.gif]

UP. I don't have be anywhere & I don't have go anywhere thank goodness so I can sleep whenever I feel like it Yeah!!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Sort of a wraparound IA/UP

It's cold today! Brrr...only reached a high of -6 here.

As a consequence I've had the heat on high all day and still am in my Uni sweats & woolly socks...but I'it's finally warmed up in here so I've turned it down and taken off my sweatshirt...only because I've turned on the oven to cook DH's dinner  :-\\\\

Cold here as well. About 28F when I got up with a wind chill making it around 11F!! There were flakes seen at Gillette Stadium last night (I know -- I should be raving "Go Pats" but the eyes glaze over at the mere thought of football) but no big snow (yet) for the Boston area.

UP: I have an interview for a cool-sounding job tomorrow at 8am!

IAs: The interview's at 8am. ;) My alarm usually goes off at that time. Also, provided it goes well and I get an offer/decide to accept, I have to deal with telling the nice people I've been working with that I want to leave. I hate that sort of thing.

Ooooh! Good luck!
IA: I just cannot seem to get my research paper started.  Urgh.
UP: I decided to outline it and surprised myself by how clearly I know what I'm going to say, so perhaps it will all come together now.

Thanks! I feel sort of weird since I just started this job last month, but given that I'm not 100% comfortable here (with things that are unlikely to change), I suppose it's better to leave sooner rather than later.

Good luck with your paper!

IA--getting so hot in the middle of the night I though I was having menopausal night sweats
UP--tried the summer duvet (hubby's keeping the winter one) and was perfectly comfy last night.  Not menopausal YET!  :D

UPs: Saw another flat today, and I really liked it. Good space (not huge, but decent), big garden, nice looking street, and still walking distance to my new job.
The landlord (live-in) was really happy to meet my dog, and mentioned wanting to live with a dog again.

IAs: Had to go see it 2x because the first time they didn't hear me ring the doorbell/knock, and I'd forgotten my phone, so I had to go home to get it and call them.
The landlord's a bit concerned about my dog shedding everywhere (though I countered that with offering to chip in on the cost of a cleaner, so hopefully that won't be an issue).
No dishwasher :( (though the landlord wants to add one, just not sure when that'd happen)
Room isn't available until late January. (Which is only an IA in that I want to be rid of my Landlord From Hell asap.)
Have to wait to find out if she wants me to live there.

Think happy thoughts/cross your fingers for me, please.

Fingers crossed Equestrianerd.

UP:  Another great day wearing Georgian costumes and doing country dancing in the big saloon at a National Trust property.  We had loads of people interested in participating, both young and old.  They all loved it even if we kept it to the basic steps for little ones.  I LOVED seeing the room taking on it's proper use and so many people enjoying themselves.  It's what life is all about.  :)

IA:  I am never going to get the three songs that were repeating for people to dance to out of my head, and I love country dancing, but we could only do one over and over and over and over and over again.  My head hurts.  I now feel I need to share my new skill with my friends though.  They have been warned if I see them this week, they are learning this dance!   >:D

Other small IA is that the dresses are 3/4 length sleeves with low necks and the heating in the room wasn't working so it was FREEZING!!!

This sounds so awesome!  Except the freezing part.  Keep on moving and dancing to keep warm, I guess!

It was totally dance for warmth.  LOL... and it was very fun.  By the end I was leading dances by myself, but I would have liked to switch up the dances a bit.  And the music was pretty, but 5 hours two days in a row, only listening to 3 songs was a bit much.  I'm going to be hearing the music in my sleep.  But I think the Christmas programme we did is one of the best.  We even had spies from other big houses in the area looking around to see what we were doing.   :)
