IA: I started making cookies before I realised that BF packed the electric beaters.  Creaming butter and sugar together by hand just wasn't going to happen.  I decided I'd try to use my food processor because it has attachments that look like they could be used for just such an occasion... BF packed the instructions and mini-cookbook that go to my food processor as well.  >:(  After 10 minutes of trying, it was evident that I was too much of a numpty to figure it out on my own.  ::)

UP: Ultimately, I just threw it all in there with the normal blade and hoped for the best.  The dough looked a bit more liquidy than it should, but they're still edible.  That's all I need them to be.  :)

UP: Despite the fact that it was inconvenient, mostly because he hadn't told me he'd done it, BF managed to actually pack some stuff without me pestering him!   :o :D

UP: Saw the ENT doctor today and he's confident that surgery can help, if not solve, my sleep problems.

IA: Spent 2 hours at the hospital, 90% of that sitting around and waiting. And now I get to sit around (at home) and wait to get a letter telling me how long I'll have to sit around and wait to have surgery.

IA2: No antibiotics post-surgery.

UP: Kitty's quite enamoured of his new toy.

IA: He keeps losing it under furniture and then meowing piteously for us to fetch it. (And lying about where it is, no less.) So he's lost toy privileges for the evening, and is now sulking as a result.

IA: Commencement week is often irritating with the whole place overrun with lost parents, tents and seating going up everywhere, no chance of getting anywhere near usual lunch places, etc. The free box lunch the School offers to staff on the day was absolute rubbish last year.

UP: This will be my last Commencement (wait, is that good or bad?  ???)

And you are moving back over....??  :)

Head-bangingly slow process but it's gotta happen! Quick visit in August probably. (So sick of vague plans)

IA: Today is the last day we'll have internet until 7th June, since that's the first day Virgin could come to sort it out.  :-\\\\

UP: Could probably do with the detox.  ;) Also ordering a few books from Amazon today to get me through it.  :)

IA: We also won't be getting our new washing machine until the 7th of June.  There will be so much washing to do and I am not looking forward to it.

I hate that calling to arrange things well in advance of moving is useless. Enjoy the books though!

UP: Have a date scheduled for my surgery.

IA: It's right before our product launch, so life is going to be crazy, plus I'll feel guilty for taking time off. The next slot after that was the last week in August, though, so not really much of an option there.

Seriously.  They tell you that you can't call until 5 days before you move, then when you call they say it'll take around 2 weeks!  Why don't you just tell people to call 2 weeks before they move and then it's arranged closer to the move date instead of well after?!  ???  Then they'll suddenly be known for their prompt service when they're really not operating any differently.  They could only win!  :P

Indeed. I'd suggest calling back and seeing if you can be added to their cancellation list (if your schedule is flexible enough for it). My initial install date was something like May 19, but because someone canceled, I got my install done April 27 instead. They were even able to tell me about it well in advance, so it wasn't just "hey, we're swinging by, hope you're home".

Oh, that's good to know!  I'll have to give them a call.  Thanks!  :)
