UP: I called the dentist to make an appointment this morning and they had an opening at 11:30!  :D

IA: I had to go to the dentist. I hate the dentist.  :-\\\\

UP: CEO of the company knows my name....

IA: .... because he arranged a sales deal that has gone horribly wrong and I am somehow the one at the bottom having to fix it. And he's furious. I'm not happy to have my name linked to such a sh*tty situation that was not caused by me. It's pretty embarrassing and stressful!   :-\\\\

elle and PB, I'm sorry for the work-related stress!

UP: My interview was yesterday.  Despite being a complete and total nervous wreck and having trouble getting my words out, I did manage to get all my good answers in there and finished strong.  If I don't get it, it was still a massive accomplishment being 1 of 5 people chosen out of about 200 applications.

IA: I slept terribly the past couple of nights.  The night before my interview I was dreaming I was in the interview, and last night I was rehashing the whole interview.  I just wanted to sleep!  I'm exhausted and I know I'm going to have another crappy night's sleep because...

UP: I have to get up early tomorrow to go to the airport to fly back to NJ for 2 weeks!  :)

Congrats! :) Hope you hear back soon, and have a nice trip to NJ.

UP: A friend took us to see Much Ado About Nothing with Tennant/Tate (though we had to get ourselves to London) on Thursday and it was really good

IA: Every character "smoked" like a chimney and by the intermission I'd lost my voice.  Here it is, Tuesday, and I still have an insanely sore throat and my voice keeps fading in an out!

Ugh, I'd heard it was really good but my friend didn't mention the smoking thing.

It was really good, though Tate ran right over the other women in the cast (and I couldn't tell the two minor women apart - they were both petite, curly haired brunettes!) and was a little too much of what I understand to be her signature character. I only know her as Donna from Dr Who where she did a wonderful job, so I was a bit disappointed in that. Tennant and most of the men were brillaint.

As for the smoking, it wasn't "real" cigarettes and it probably wouldn't affect anyone who doesn't have asthma. Maybe the smoke was pooling where we were sitting? Anyway, I lost my voice and I'm peeved about it.

IA: Work has been very busy and understaffed due to colleagues on holiday, and stressful on my own.

UP: Which means I've had several days worth of overtime. Every little bit of cash helps.

UP: We have a potential place to rent that we're going to view this weekend. It's right near DH's work.

IA: We've had really bad luck in this department, so we're afraid to get our hopes up yet again. It's even further away from my work, so it would take 3 buses to get there and 2 hours each way, and at night :-\\\\  :-\\\\

UP: Finally met with my boss's boss to discuss my problems with this job.

IA: Not surprisingly, he didn't have anything definitive to say (despite having over a week since I originally asked for a meeting). So it'll be over a week more before I get any real word on my requests/concerns.

UP: Depending on how next week goes job-hunting wise, I may just leave, and then it won't be an issue!

IA: For the first time in more than 2.5 years I need to iron some clothes. I seriously hate ironing and have always worked at places where I can get away with clothes that don't need to be ironed.

UP: Tomorrow is my first day of work!  ;D

My boyfriend just started a new job in England, so happy for him, it means more holiday for him and more income which will help us when I move over. It also means our planned visit, which isnt even until October, is going to be pushed back by 3 weeks :( We were planning on going to Florida for a few days during our visit, and now that is pushed back, my aunt will be there by then in her summer condo, and she will allow us to stay with her...her condo is right on the beach in Fort Lauderdale! So maybe it was meant to work out this way.  ???
