UP: The annoying three day trip we had to take to London turned out to be a fantastic getaway. Other than the quick visits (about 5 mins each) hubby had to make to the visa doctor, we had all the rest of the time to sightsee and have fun.

IA: We're back to reality again,

Good to be home again, but...

End of holiday blues.  :(

UP: All (just over) 1200 pics I snapped during our trip last week are sorted into categories. I tend to be snap happy anyway, but I am a complete old building NUT so I went a bit haywire. It is a UP because I generally put it off for weeks.

IA: Now they have to be uploaded and a bit of info typed about each one.

UP: It's Patriot's Day, a legal holiday in Massachusetts (and Maine I believe)

IA: We don't get the day off -- so I took a vacation day

UP: DS had a ticket for the Red Sox game, which started early

IA: He wanted me to drop him at the station but didn't tell me what train he wanted so I hung around for ages waiting for him to wake up

Further IA: Why do the media have to call it "Marathon Monday"?  ::) We wouldn't be having any marathons here on this day if the Minutemen hadn't decided to hang out on Lexington Green until the British regulars marched into view!

Happy Patriot's Day!

IA: BF left on Saturday. The lonely feeling is starting to creep up fast. I miss him loads  :-[

UP: I finally tracked down an amazing pair of Hunter wedge tie wellies in my size. I HAD to have them. I saw them at Nordstrom Rack, and the only pair in my size was blooming(waxy film covering them) so I managed to call to a different store and get a better pair. I had to order over the phone so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they are perfect(or close to!)

bad:  a pigeon slammed into my 2nd floor window (while i was sitting inches away) and fell to the ground.

good:  half an hour later, when i got brave enough to look, I opened up the window to hang my body halfway out to see if i could see its poor wee body lying on the pavement, and there was a huge blast of THUNDER, which I love!  Might not have heard it as well through the double-glazing, but at that exact moment, I was hanging out the window!  (the pigeon's body is not there...)

UP: The rug I've wanted to get for under our dining table was on sale for $30.

IA: I should have bought the next size bigger. It doesn't look bad, but it would look better if it were a little bigger. But....

I don't care because it was only $30, so we'll deal with it! ;D

UP: I have a couple things to put on '2 Things You're Happy About' - but I'm going to save them so I'll have something to say on Friday Five tomorrow.  :)

IA: Throat is scratchy & feel like I'm coming down with something. Hope it doesn't ruin weekend plans.  :-\\\\

UP: BF and I have been chatting about engagement and looking at rings, and neither of us have wigged out. :)

IA: No clue when anything might happen, though.

UP: We have decided on summer 2013 for general wedding timeframe, so at least I have a general idea. :)

UP: In theory that means getting engaged sometime this year, in order to give my US friends/relatives enough head's up to make travel plans.
