The Book People came to our work, here in the middle of nowhere!  ;D
I have an allowance of two cookbooks and I can't decide between them all. I think I may have to get the Williams-Sonoma slow cooker book (recommended by someone on here, though I can't remember who) and either Jamie Oliver's America or Delia's Christmas. Grrrr. I can't decide!  :)

Me! Me!  I love that slow cooker book, but they are my kind of recipes.  Plus I like having the extra charts and stuff.

There are quite a few nice recipes in there that I would like to try. I love my slow cooker, it's great when you work full-time and have busy weekends, but I tend to always make the same few things, so it would be nice to have some new recipes to try. I think I will definitely get that one, and possibly the Jamie Oliver's America, but the Delia's Christmas looks nice and there is a Carribean one, as well. Urgh. Looking through them gives me something to do at work, though!  ;D

IA: really cold out there today

UP: Heat wave, bring it on baby! Temperature increased a whole 5 degrees while I was working on the car. Went from 1 to 6!

Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

I was looking at the Caribbean one too, but I thought that a lot of the ingredients would be hard for me to find here and I am too lazy to hunt around.

Yeah, I have the same reservations about Jamie's America book, but I think I am going to get it anyway, if for no other reason than his homemade bbq sauce, salsa, and hot sauce recipes, and instructions for the best way to bbq in the oven.  :) I miss barbecue ribs!

Haha I have only been up and out early enough to catch ice once. I think it depends on the type of ice that will make a difference. That time I found it worked good but didn't need the heat side of it. But when the ice is the slick, hard to get a cutting grip, that thing will be ace. Thanks again.

I am hoping I won't need it too much more as I think my lotto numbers are up for their turn on the podium.  ::)

UP: recruiters are interested in my CV and claim to be submitting me for consideration for interviews

IA: this is happening the week after I'm in the UK, so now I face the possibility of a (very expensive) short trip this month sometime to interview

IA: HMV would only give me store credit when I returned a brand new, unopened (with the security sticker on it) CD. I don't buy a lot of DVDs or CDs so this was useless to me.

UP: My friend was with me and she buys loads of stuff there, so she bought it off me!

Up: My husband is taking me shopping and to lunch tomorrow in Manchester as a late Bday celebration.  ;D

IA: After that we are headed to his aunts house for a visit. I can't wait to see her but she smokes in the house so I have to sit in it for usually a few hours and suffer!  :-\\\\

IA: I have no idea what the parcel is or who it's from!

IA: I have to walk over to the hospital to deliver some stuff.

UP: DH said he'll come over and walk with me, and it's also very nice out today so it's not too bad.  And we're going to get lunch while we're out!

UP: My friend in the US posted pictures of her gorgeous new baby boy on Facebook.

IA: This is not helping my extreme broodiness!!!
