I missed this!!!  What does it look like!!  I love new rings!  I want a new ring....

I can't find one online, unfortunately.  She doesn't have the style I'm getting on her website, but you can get an idea from her other pieces.

It's the cloisonne enamel line, not the (super cool) mantra rings.

IA: I'm up to my ears in library books and journal articles.  I have 2 presentations and an essay due next week which means no Thanksgiving until the weekend.  One of the presentations is meant to be about our proposed dissertation topic which I have not done a single drop of research on.  I was starting to feel the panic.

UP: While reading through one of my books for an essay, I happened to come across an entire section that discusses aspects of my really random dissertation topic.  It gave me another source that is on Jstor.  Now I can just use those and not go to the library or agonize anymore!

IA: Sitting at home waiting for a package to be delivered.

UP: The weather is sh*te, so I don't really want to go out anyways. DH will pick up the stuff for dinner on his way home!

It's actually far more than an IA, but the last remaining dog track in Wisconsin is closing on December 31, and there are over 500 greyhounds that will be homeless and/or on death row if they aren't fostered/adopted.

The UP is that I'm almost certain we're going to adopt one!  Assuming we can find one that will put up with our cat and kid, that is. :D

That's so cool!! I really hope a lot of people turn up for the adoption though.

The local rescue groups are super fabulous, so I'm sure that most will be fostered if no one can adopt them right away.

Which leads into my next IA/UP....

I'm super happy that we're seriously considering doing this, but now I've got my mom getting on my case for being "led by my emotions" and "not thinking it through".  Um, hello?  DH and I have talked about adopting a greyhound for almost ten years.  I think we've thought it through as much as is possible! ::)

Yup, I got the same thing when I got my cat in college.  Nothing like being on the cusp of 40, but being treated like I'm 10. ::)

IA: I went shopping today for tops and couldn't find a single one that worked for me!  :(

UP: I ended up going into Lush and buying bubble bars and shampoo. Plus I found a shop in the inside market that sold a ton of yarn for super cheap. I stocked up!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
