IA: It will be delivered sometime between 9am-6pm tomorrow and they won't call first to say its coming.  So I can either stay home all day waiting (not really a feasible option, as I'm training on the new job so I need to be in the office and not working from home) or miss them and they *may* leave it with a neighbour...   I'm hoping they leave a card so that I can pick it up myself

PB - What a load of crap...What person that has a job can sit at home waiting for a delivery? I would have said delivery it to my office <g>  Good Luck and I hope it goes smooth!

UP: Making Turkey Sausage and Eggs for breakfast - 1 day south beach done

IA: Still not sleeping well - I was up till 4am!

I know, seriously! I wish I could have it delivered to the office, but it would have been a nightmare trying to deal with mailroom on this particularly large item

Mmmm turkey sausage and eggs... I really want that now!

IA: Really bad sore throat, no other symptoms- so I'm a little worried it's Strep.  :-\\\\

UP: Sky scheduled us today between 8 and 1, and he got here at 8!  We'll have a zillion channels and Broadband and a landline soon.

IA: Broadband and the landline take 7-10 days to "activate" for some strange mysterious reason.

UP: Boy got my iPhone working yesterday so it's a bit easier to get on without real internet.

Haha- I spoke too soon! The Sky man said there's a tree blocking the signal for our dish and that his manger was in the area and would be over to evaluate the situation soon.  Nearly two hours later and no sign of anyone.  ::)

And, I just took an Airborne.  ;)

Our washing machine took 3 1/2 hours to complete a cycle, until my husband recently found a switch that only takes 1 hour.  We were using the extra long cycle for over a year!

IA: My raincoat failed me completely on the way to school this morning, even with an umbrella. I need one that's "waterproof" not just "showerproof".

UP: I get to buy a new one!

IA: All the cute ones seem to be "showerproof" and the waterproof ones either don't come in or aren't stocked up to my size (20).

UP: I think it's time to start a rainslicker thread to go with our wellies thread.

UP: The bike replacement company called me today and said that my bike was in and that it could be delivered tomorrow!
Did it arrive?

Within the past couple of months, I too discovered that our washing machine has a short wash cycle. It still takes about a 1/2 hour but it sure beats the 3 hours the regular cycle was taking! And it gets the clothes just as clean. That's the last time I rely on the husband to read the manual and tell me the pertinent parts I need to know.

UP:  Hubby's homemade blackberry jam is soooo good.  :)

IA:  It has ginormous pips that get stuck between my teeth - especially around my crown on a molar, that gets everything stuck in it.  :-\\\\

I was talking to my 12yo nephew last night. He asked when we were moving to the US. I told him I didn't know because of the length of the visa process. He asked where we would move to. Again, I told him I didn't know. He said, 'Because they're building all sorts of houses around here!' I said,' So you want us to be your neighbors?' He said, 'Uh....just close enough that we could ride our bikes there!'

This made me laugh and it broke my heart at the same time.

UP: Picked my bike up from the shipping depot this morning- its really nice- and another package that they had attempted to deliver on Saturday was also there, so I didn't need to pick it up later

IA: Got the bike rack all tied up to the car, only to realise that it didn't fit on the rack.   :-\\\\   So then we had to stuff my bike into my car.  But the honda is a tardis, so it actually fit inside, amazingly. But then it was impossible to see outta my back mirror and it's weighing the car down.
