I don't think we've used ours in months.  It was a Godsend when we used to go to Starbucks almost every day for the two years (and three weeks) we lived with my inlaws. We did it just to get out of the house, really. We'd budget out how much we could spend a week, stick it on the card, and got free shots of flavour syrup.  You've reminded me I should check ours to see if we've got any left on there.

I love having a starbucks card, especially when they send you vouchers for free coffees, and being on maternity leave, there is nothing like a free frappuchino! Especially when they give you the HUGE ones! I went to Starbucks at the Trafford Centre and the cashier gave me 21 Via samples...I think he liked mine and my sisters American Accents!!!

I don't care for PG Tips either, it's nasty tasting to me. Perhaps that it is so cheap to buy is reason for it's popularity... For me I much prefer Twinings if I'm going to have a cup of tea.

When I lived at home (i.e. with parents) it was always wither Tetley Tea or Yorkshire Tea. But going to a friends I found I prefered PG, so now that's what I buy. I also do have a selection of Twinings - e.g. Earl Grey, Chai

I love the free shots, syrups & cream...plus the free wi-fi! when you use the Starbucks Card. Comes in handy when travelling. But DH & I love the add ons and with his Grande Almond Mocha with an Extra Shot no cream, and my Venti Wet Vanilla Latte with cream we save about £1.50 each time we go  ;D

But how much more do you spend than if you just made coffee at home?  ;)

Going out for coffee is a treat for us. It's not something that we do all the time...this was the first time in about a month.

I was just joking. Though I know there are people who spend a fortune and go every day!

What is this Starbucks card? My BF usually meets his sisters there on the weekend whenever he goes into town.  He has one of those Cafe Nero stamp cards, is it the same sort of thing?

It's just a Starbucks gift card that you can register on the Starbucks.co.uk website and you get free extras when you use the card to pay. The card functions almost like a PAYG mobile that you can top up when it gets low.

Here's the link to the program: http://www.starbucks.co.uk/en-GB/_Card/

You're welcome...just remember that this only works at the coporate shops not the franchise ones. Where we usually go there are 3 coporate shops (where we have to pay to park so it almost negates the savings) and 1 franchise shop (but it's free to park??? however, we don't get the discount  :-\\\\) so you'll have to ask in the shop that he goes to if the card can be used, but it's usually obvious by the card display by the tills.  ;)

I too LOVE my coffee. I've currently got a supply of my favourite Dunkin Donuts coffee from recent trip back to the states.
I also like Taylors  of Harrogate from here. I use one of these to my fresh hot cup each and every time

Just got these mugs, and we love them. DH will actually make coffee now (I always had to do it before since I'm the American....) The coffee stays hot for a long time, and tastes really good. I'm very, very pleased. Thanks for the link!!!

You are very welcome. Im on my second of these mugs I use mine so often. Love that i can use any coffee and that it stays nice and hot. I also keep it hotter longer by microwaving the milk for about 30 to 40 secs before putting it in ..

I absolutely LOVE my coffee!  [smiley=smoking.gif]

so much that I've had to cut back 2 cups because I couldn't get a good nights rest. I have damaged my nervous system over the years, there's no doubt about that!  ;D I usually drink community coffee, dark roast with a little coffee mate. mmmm delisssh!  :P

We were very lucky and received a Gaggia espresso machine as a wedding gift.  Together with Lavazza coffee, it's like a little piece of heaven.  I prefer it to any other coffee.
