I'm tired of all the girly singing. But he might win. I see most of you think so!  ;)

I hope not! He's too bland! And I'm sooooo with you on the girly singing. Enough already.

My picks for the bottom three are John, Diva Fever and Storm. I think people love Wagner too much to send him home!  ;D

My biggest issue with last night was the whole 'hero' thing. Some of them really stretched that, I thought. I totally agreed with Louis about those boys singing the Kelly Clarkson song. I love her and love that song, but you cannot convince me that she's their 'hero.' No way.

Yeah, the theme was a bit strange. They did seem to stretch that a lot.  :-\\\\ Belle Amie loves The Kinks... or Van Halen? Either way, I don't see it.  ::)

Wagner kind of bores me, actually. I don't think he's even wacky enough to keep my attention. (But you're right, he WAS hot back in the day!  ;)) I like Diva Fever more for novelty factor but didn't like the song choice last night.  :-\\\\

Exactly.

I thought Aiden/John Lennon was believable, as were John/Donny Hathaway and Mary/Dusty Springfield ... but some of the others made me  ???

Yeah, I thought those were believable. Rebecca singing Nina Simone was good. I doubt Wagner loves Tom Jones or whatever that was.  ::) What song did Katie sing? I think I've heard it before, but couldn't place it.  ???

Wagner might love Tom Jones. I know I do!  ;D

Katie did an Etta James song - "I'd Rather Go Blind." Not one I know, but I liked it.

Buh-bye Storm! Woohooo!  ;D

Was sad to see Diva Fever go... would rather see them perform again than Belle Amie, really, as they were far more entertaining, at least!

Nearly died thinking Aiden might be in the bottom three.  :-[ So glad he gets another shot. I lurve him.  [smiley=heart.gif]

I'm actually annoyed right now.  Wagner?!? F***ing Wagner!?!  I really found Diva Fever entertaining and would much rather watch them than him any day.  Ugh.

Katie was better this week, but I still want her gone.

Mary was brilliant.

Aiden sang the most difficult song, so whilst it wasn't perfect- it was the best one.

Matt's song choice was brilliant. His singing was a bit meh.

Cher did well, glad she's back.

Belle Amie should have gone over Diva Fever, they're boring and the fact that the blonde is already throwing little fits doesn't bode well.  Just my 2 pence.

I think they made the right choice. Diva Fever were godawful.

OMG the X Factor is like a total freak show this year! Simons boyband are GODAWFUL! The little Irish one is adorable, but he just looks like he is singing something really HAPPY AND UPBEAT when he is singing Coldplay..its just a freak show!

And no one mentioned the dancers holding the boobies...

Hahaha! I saw that with the boobies!  ;D I really thought Dannii was going to say something because she looked so shocked after his performance, but she didn't. I agree about that little blond boy, he is far too excitable, and then the one with darker skin and hair is adorable, but CANNOT sing. Still think Harry is the cutest little thing going, though.  :P I think Harry and Liam are the best singers, but they seem to be putting the other two in the front all of the time, which is weird.  :-\\\\

Well, double eliminations are over, so that's half the chance of Wagner disappearing next week... I thought he was actually pretty boring last week, aside from the dancers grabbing boobs.  :P

I'm going to say it...I thought Diana Vickers was great, and it's a great electro-pop song, although that chorus is blatantly ripped from Under the Bridge. Replace "oh my wicked heart....beats out of time for you" with "I don't ever want to feel...like I did that day"

Katy Perry alternated between Sharp and Flat and I didn't think she had much stage presence at all.

Aiden was quite up and down, zomg, his voice cracked at several key points, when it was good, it was good, but it was too often just...out of control and resting on tone. There's no point having great tone if you don't have the chops to back it up. I don't mind the twitchyness, as he's in it when he's signing but you can't do that every single week.

Wagner needs to go, and treyC - boooooooooring

I'm bored of Cher, too much reliance on her backing singers and I think her rap this week was badly timed and not very sharp.

I want Katie to go so her flipping mother will stop making ridiculous comments,  I can't turn on the TV or open a magazine without her Mother saying this or that. Shut UP!

OOOOHHH!  Just found this thread....yay!

My favs are Matt and Rebecca.  I also really like Mary and Aiden (even though he was crap last week).

I'm tired of Cher, she's too one-dimensional.  Wagner...I can't even say anything about that.  I don't think any of the groups sounds good.  The others are good and sound really nice but not too hot in comparison to the 4 mentioned above.

I would really like Wagner to win. He reminds me a lot of Margarita Pracatan who used to be on Clive James' show in the 80s, hilarious. It might just happen, he seems to have a bit of a following, and it would teach Simon Cowell a good lesson don't you think? They showed a hilarious video on the news tonight that someone has put on youtube, they've taken clips of Stephen Fry talking about the classical composer Wagner and interspered clips of X Factor Wagner, very funny.  But overall, I'm not really enjoying the X Factor this year, it's the same old same old. I'm just watching the results show to see who gets kicked off!

Hmm... My pick for bottom 2 this week would be Belle Amie and hopefully Wagner, but I think he may get to stay on for a while longer yet. I'm not sure, but usually when they give someone their audition song during the live show, it's the kiss of death as everyone has already heard that performance and gets bored quickly, but hopefully that won't happen to Mary, as I like her, and I am sure Louis must have picked a crap song for her that was out of her range or something. He isn't a very good mentor.  :-\\\\

Style-wise, there were some strange things going on there like John's hair, Rebecca's dress (I liked it but that weird hump on the side near her hip was so big, wth?), and for god's sake, couldn't they just dye Katie's roots already?  ::) Paije reminds me of that guy in Kid 'N Play with the huge flat top, and the girls wear so many false eyelashes, you can barely see their eyes at all (especially Cher).

I thought Aiden looked particularly sultry last night and loved his performance. I love the intensity and tension when he performs. I love Rebecca, as well (though like I said, that dress was kind of too much for me and they made her look a bit too much like Jessica Rabbit). I don't understand why everyone went so nuts for Matt, you could barely hear the guitar over the backing music (not that the competition is about that, but it seemed like a prop to me) and besides that, when I saw the guitar, I was certainly hoping for a more rocking song than Britney Spears.  ::) Could they ever give him a non-girly song to sing?! And speaking of rocking, I thought TreyC was pretty awesome handling Led Zeppelin. I mean, no one could ever top Robert Plant's vocal on that song, but very cool to see her sing something besides a ballad or some Beyonce song, which was what I was expecting. And nice to hear a rock song for a change, overall. I did really like Cher's performance (I thought the set was really cool) and thought her vocal was actually really good for that song. But I don't really like her attitude and all the silly face pulling. I still feel that way. A little humility from her would be good right about now, she seems very cocky to me.

Really, the only two of them whose albums I would actually buy would be Aiden and Rebecca, so I am going to pull for them this year.

Those judges are so out of touch with reality, Louis, well, he is completely deluded and just, well weird. Whomever gave Matt that cover of Britney to do obviously forgot that Travis did the exact same arrangement about 4 or 5 years ago. There are some great performers, and Katie is coming into her own, no matter how much I dislike her...I like Cher, but how smug has she become...

blah blah blah
